Good morning!!!!

The sky is BRILLIANT with bright red and blue, dark clouds, thunder, lightning
The dogs are safe inside the house :)
The Angels are Bowling, and I dare not recline my power lift chair ... if the power goes out, I'm stuck. No bathroom breaks then.

Here's a fitting song for y'all ...

   / Good morning!!!! #153,262
I spoke too soon - we lost power a few minutes after my previous post. Power went out for only 5 - 10 seconds - just long enough to cause a need for all the appliances and clocks to be re-set. I'm catching up since Friday, slowly ...
Friday night the Caravan Farm Theatre production was great
Saturday's lunch with my highschool classmate was really good too - we haven't seen each other in 40 years

sodamo - God's humour just like you said :) . glad that the new glasses are working out (hopefully no headaches as you adjust to them)

popgadget - glad that you are feeling better, nice dolly too

Rich B1 - nice connection to have and keep, that's brilliant

LS and sodamo - the grocery shopping reminded me that I need coffee for home

txdon - hope that you get the rain that you need (we've had the 40 days straight recently),

RoyJ - we also have a Livestock Guardian Dog ... an Anatolian Shepherd, big 145 lbs, gentle giant, mean bark, keeps the bear down by the creek, and strangers off the property, prone to wander on perimeter rounds, but always comes back. we love her

daugen - I have the knowlege and skill for a lot of things, but the aches and pains limit my ability and motivation at times :)

Thomas - sorry to hear about the loss of your friend Steve, xounds like an interesting guy, and a fabulouse collection, too bad the museum is closing

BEF - praying that the medical professionals can find a solution for your son's hearing concerns. How in the world did that grapple prong bend, that's got to be a story ?

txdon - are the hearing aids covered as a medical expense, or at least a medical expense credit on taxes ?

mostly_gas - puttering sounds too generous, it was basically being lazy. the thing about being on my own for a few days (wife is still away) is that I can go shirtless inside or outside ... work on my tan

sodamo - that is an impressive set-up

daugen - pain is a pain. I hope that you are able to minimize and manage the pain. I can totally relate to pain, and I probably have arthritis, but since nobody has confirmed that to date, I just call it pain (and denial ?)

NHBX - I did a dump run on Friday morning, feels like such an accomplishment. particularly rewarding when I pay more than the minimum dumping fee ... that means that it was a sizable load = value

RoyJ - good plan, and enjoy your puppy

kenmbz - cool boat ride

wngsprd - glad that your wife is feeling better, praying. Recently I dealt with kitchen plumbing (uggh), now I'm practically an expert (nope). hoping that it resolves quickly with a fix

I JUST LOST 1/2 OF MY NOTE, SO I'M TAKING THE HINT. Greetings to all, take care, I'm catching up, prayers. Calling it an end to this note though. Night All.

57° right now...high in the mid-70's and rain/T-storms. The forecast is for ½". I hope we get it, but I'd be OK with just rain
Although working remotely, I want to make a dump run and get a couple tubes of GP grease

good morning all
other than a sore neck this morning (not taking my arthritis meds is challenging) looking forward to a nice day.
Cloudy, with more storms tonight.
Need to go foodshopping, then home to work on painting the new ball hitch.

Boy that thing worked so perfectly yesterday, had such a grin on my face as I wheeled the trailer slowly into its spot.
Hugely appreciate the help I got.
We get by with the help of our friends.
have to hunt through camera, think I have a few more pics in there.

since I've been laying the cheap birdseed out on the ground, with lots of millet and cracked corn in it, all kinds of new critters have arrived. I now have 8 bluejays
coming to visit, what a noisy bunch they are. And my one little bunny rabbit. Going to cut a lot of the old lettuce and leave it out on a stump today, see if any diners.
squirrels clean out the birdfeeder every day. I really need to put a "coolie hat" preventer on that pole.
anyone have a favorite squirrel frustrater?

hope you all have a good start to the week.

Don, thanks for pics. I bet there really is a vegan alternative to most foods.
on the continuum from eating tbone steaks every night (normal for Texas, right?) to nothing but tofu,
I wonder how far one needs to go before health improves.
I'm guessing not very far, just watch cholesterol and other lab results carefully.

I'm fat. Since I lost two inches of height due to bone disease, I'm now a BMI failure.
Not sure I'm ever going to get this tire off my middle. Sort of an old friend.
But we all know that extra 20 or 30 pounds is simply hard on us. Like hauling around a big sack
of bird seed all day. Several times I've thought of that, when hauling the sunflower sack out to the car.
I could weigh this much less....

Can't do anything about getting older. Two years ago lying in a hospital bed I wasn't sure how much older I was going to get.
I'm sure happy that worked out well, and that today's DNA guided cancer treatments really can offer good hope. I have a 70 percent chance of making
it five years, and for lymphomas, the percentage is slowly rising, as results continue to improve. My oldest and best friend has a similar cancer to mine.
did we catch it from the same doorknob?................

need to buy megamillions ticket today.
start thinking about what new tractor you want.
I'm buying.
yes, it comes with a grapple. And Top n tilt. And 5 rear remotes.

hmm, Popgadget already has that. Some of you will be expensive.

Drew, Remember Lauro(spelling)? He lost 55 pounds. I think he said he ate a big bowl of green beans with every meal. I guess the idea was to fill up with healthy stuff so you ate less of the good stuff. He was from Florida I think. Anyway it is on here somewhere.

68° now dew point 67° high’s around 80° and rain and thunderstorms midday into tonight. Need the rain, hope wind isn’t to bad.

Yesterday turned out to be a do nothing day, didn’t even get out of bed until 10:00 am. Very unusual for me but I hadn’t slept well for a couple of night’s, must have been the after effects of the super moon lol. The major accomplishment of the day was picking up a rotisserie chicken for an easy Sunday dinner

Not sure what today will bring, house is in need of a good cleaning inside may do that if it rains. Does not take long when the two of us “divide and conquer“ lol.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

Prayers for those in need, our country and peace around the world

Larro Darrow? Very interesting man!

   / Good morning!!!! #153,272
Larry Darro, wow flash from the past. Used to go camping out back in Florida, lived a very interesting life.
wonder how he is now?

unless the wheel lug bolts all got loose and aggravated that rim, which is hard to believe, with under 300 hours on that tractor,
not a plus for Kubota engineering. maybe go up a 16th on the steel thickness? Or reinforce the holes.
Buckeye, was that tractor involved in anything "interesting"?

Don . . . How do you know when brownie done?
The batter is thick like icing. They have always been done after 30 minutes in a 350˚ oven. You can also do the tooth pick test. Insert a toothpick in the middle, if it comes out clean they are done.

Scaredychicken, dosen't your recliner have an emergency battery back-up. My mothers does, that reminds me I need to check that battery.

Only .02" rain the last month here, none forecasted, anything not irrigated is brown.

Hearing aids are covered by my insurance to a max of $500 (less than 1/3 of cost). Medical deductions need to be more to utilize them for a tax deduction as the standard deduction is a better deal.

We don't eat tofu here.

This week is the
WFPB potluck, It wisely has been moved from an outdoor pavilion to the cool A/C activity center. So far 30 people have RSVPed.

The golf cart garage can be cleared out in about 10 minutes to accommodate the new tractor. Waiting anxiously.

76˚F heading over 100˚ again today. Beyond the back yard, golf sprinklers are shooting 50' keeping them green with reclaimed water.

Morning all, looks like today will be the last 90 deg day as the temps are going up.
Not quite the >100, but hot enough for us northerners.

Worked on the guitar fret and got it in and sanded to match the others.
Pool still needs some work, out of balance due to the rains....

Next stop in Europe was Venice, again by high speed train. 5.5 hours from Naples to Venice at up to 300km/hour

Last cave at Capri-heart shape at back and line of boats to go in.

Good Morning.
It’s 75 and a low overcast, dew point is 74, so it’s another sticky one. Got .02” of rain overnight, might get a bit more today.

After the boys left yesterday, I went to lunch with son and grandson, and puttered around the shop sorting out PA gear and loading it into the truck. Took the trials bike for a ride, hadn’t done that in a while.

Not much scheduled for today, I’m going to do the manual J heat load calculations for a friend so that he can get his building permit, hopefully he has collected all the data that I need, a lot of it isn’t on the typical plans.

Still no need to mow, but some rain could change that in a hurry. Forecast for the week is dry and upper 90’s though. Always a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm though.

Looks like a blueberry muffin for breakfast and then on with the day.

I really enjoy your pictures and they take me back to my Navy shore duty which was at a Navy Air Facility (NAF) in Naples (Bella Napoli).
Rome was cool...but I thought Venice was dingy...
Did you get to Florence? That is a beautiful city!!

I believe it did probably get loose enough. I have seen others have the same issue here on TBN.
Nothing “interesting” with the tractor. Bought it for the BH to install my geothermal lines. That job alone paid for it.

Only took BH off twice. Most usage is to unload pellets and bring them from barn to house. And occasional grapple work.
