good morning all
cloudy 58 going to 80 today with rain late afternoon.
plumber coming this morning to change out cartridge in shower, drips, one nice thing about renting, this one is on the landlord.
I really don't like her plumber, makes every job more complicated than it needs to be and overcharges her terribly.
I'm going to get a quote on installing a soft water system here. If I split the cost with landlord, which she is usually amenable to, likely to be less expensive
to buy parts myself and have someone install. Going to research that.

today I will rethink my issues with that one failed bolt. Probably will drill out the hole further so nut can spin. I simply ran out of energy and patience.

need to go foodshopping today. Going to check out strip steaks, my job is to bring six pounds of steak up to cabin this weekend for barbecue. Not sure if aged beef worth the extra money.

going to stop at hardware store and pick up some new drill bits.
Toppop, hope you are better this morning.

RNG, you have competition for most insane homeowners insurance.
Friend with "modest" (by comparison) home along canal in Boca Raton, premium went up 2900 dollars
to $13,000 a year. No claims ever. For $1M dwelling value. That's utterly nuts.
Looks like insurers are starting to get ready for worse claims. Miami is almost under water at high tide, those folks along the beach
have a real problem. In addition to their condos sinking in the sand...

I can't imagine paying 13 grand for a homeowners. Maybe a farmowners with lots of equipment and farming operations, but wow.
And I wonder what their taxes are. I think about 15 grand a year. That's almost 30 grand for taxes and insurance.
I'd need to hit the lottery for that. Wish I did....still want to buy all you guys a new tractor.

Scaredy, I've never seen an exhaust like that before; looks like extractor exhaust off old VW dune buggy. Talk about burning the ankles of
pedestrians nearby... No front tag, so not NJ.
Grew up on old Chevy's, three on tree and blue flame six.

Cobalt drill bits work the best for what you are doing Drew

thanks Buppies. Not HSS, but one of the next two steps up. I was using the gold colored ones, never broke a point, and didn't dull too badly either.
This time I'll use some cutting oil too.
It sounded like a mechanical giant was getting tortured at the dentist.

63 and cloudy. Humidity still relatively low. Might creep into mid 80s

Toppop, hoping you're doing better.

Buppies, sorry so many pills.

My wife and I did a day trip to the Potomac River...nice hike through big woods to the cliffs, where many fossils are found, then along beach. Great lunch in town...see had soft shell crab sandwich and I had an oyster sandwich...I guess I broke the "R" rule. Explored town and then stopped at a vineyard for her to taste a flight.

I think you can see a boat traveling past the right side of the cliff.
