good morning all
woke up to lightning and thunderstorm at 4am, now out of here, looks like about .7 inches of rain.
A fine amount for the garden.

Ted, you have completely transformed that area. Nice job. Now about your lawn. that's probably the worst looking lawn we have seen. ;)
And with the big reservoirs running out of water, not like you can dream about three inches of thick green fescue out there.
I've never lived in an arid climate, here we often have more water than we can handle.

totally different landscaping, fun to watch and learn. Do you have a water recapture system on your roof?

no plans for today, need energy conservation after too many busy days in a row.
I might make a trip to State store to get a case of wine and a bottle of rum. That is my contribution to family
reunion in SC in three weeks. Two pinot grigios, two Pinot Noirs, etc.
I never drink alone so buying hard booze is a novelty for me but will look for some dark rum.
Rum for the dumb as my brother says. Both brothers drink vodka and fruit juice.
Fruity island drinks remind me of vacation.

good think I mowed the dry ditch yesterday afternoon. Back to full of water this morning.
I wonder what I can plant near there where it gets repeatedly flooded for days on end.

Rum when I could drink gave me a headache of I did drink now Johnny Walker Blue would be nice. You also might find alcohol is cheaper in SC than Va I do not know about Pa. If you are talking wine you need to talk to Davis, he is well know for his knowledge

Good morning, low temp 47 and going to 50°F. Wind ESE 11 mph. 60% periods of rain or showers.

daugen, you might try water lilies. They grow in the water up here and the Moose love them.
My son and I both like Captain Morgan dark rum. Black as your boot. Hides very well in Coca-cola. :giggle:

I found two 120 volt stick welders at Princess Auto (our version of Harbour Freight), so Wednesday I will chase after one of them, along with a helmet and 7018 rod. It looks to me like all the connections on the trailer are bolted together, except for where the tub mounts to the frame I still need to get some 1x2" steel tubing. I think it is all rebuild-able. Just a matter of how much time and money I want to throw at it.
The trailer will be good practice for the other implements I want to build/repurpose and then the Jeep frame.

Today is a do nothing/energy conservation day.

Have a safe day all

56 outside this AM, nice and foggy, heading to 80 - maybe.

Prime grass cutting has arrived.

Need to get into catchup mode here, hope all are well. Healthy and healing if you are under ailments. Remember - stay positive.

No luck with insurance companies yet, still waiting on coverage. Cannot find metal panels for anything, may just have to do some rigged attempt at repair on one building while I wait on either the supply chain or new roofs.

No luck on my man lift, seems it thinks the out riggers are not deployed. I'll have to learn up on contact switches and see if I can find new parts, if that is the issue. Did I say - I hate electronics?

Seems all the babies are out and about these days.

Here is a dinner special.

I woke up just before 3 a.m. to see a flash of lightning (don't know whether there was any thunder since I'm nearly deaf without my hearing aids in). And now the TV news isn't showing any rain in our area just before 6 a.m., so I went out and poured almost exactly 1.5" of rain out of my gauge.

61 headed to 84. Rain missed us again yesterday. I need to program our coordinates into the clouds' GPS.

Morning all, 51 and going up, cloudy now, bad storms last night and lots of rain.
I think the new rule is multiply by 10 whatever the forecast is for precipitation.

Well, was cutting the leaner after dragging it down. The crotch and two leaders were up against another tree.
Lightened up by cutting the trunk. Then cut the top leader.

Bottom leader broke and the whole trunk came down on my leg.
Will have trouble walking for a few weeks, but seems nothing broken.

Only 2 trees left that I have to do, they will wait for a bit, both look easy, but they are dead Ash....

Car Wash for sons drumline seemed to go well and was busy. Got my son to actually clean my truck!

Father got delayed a day and will be here very late tonight. Luckily I got bed made and towels over there as climbing stairs is too painful right now.

BEF - hope the Mrs. cold goes away soon. One week to dead Mic batteries, did you get a bad batch?

Drew, you need a light on that fence to make it obvious if on. Did you win the bid at the auction?

L4N - since I bought a cheap welder it has come in really useful. Good luck getting one

LS - amazing job on the mulched area.

Stay safe and be well,

Off to ice my ankle
