Home from the ladies day, and the only guy there
One of our young ladies that just graduated from college was the speaker, she did an excellent job. Streaming went well, we had several online attending.
Was going to drive truck, but battery was dead. Barely could unlock the door. Last time it barely started, I thought running it would get the battery charged enough. Looks like I’ll need new one.
I was 1 1/2 hrs early to get ready. The computer I couldn’t remote to last night was locked up. Display was on, but no keyboard or mouse response so had to hard reboot. Got everything ready in plenty of time, so I flew my drone inside the auditorium, then took it outside for a few pics. I get a flight restriction warning there, close to a particular spot.
Better go look at that battery.

fun morning but I didn't stick around very long. Rte 413 is Durham Road, one of the original Colonial roads and heading South in Bucks County on it is a slow ride.
Lot of Saturday traffic, ambulances flying by for St Mary's Hospital, one of which I think came from the festival. I didn't see any fattening food worth buying so looking in at another Quaker Meeting up the street, which had several pens of lambs there for petting, as part of the festival.
As more and more people started crowding into this festival area, even though it was outside, I got less interested in sticking around.
But the folks who I wanted to support know I was there and I'll send them a few pics.
Two different versions of this Colonial artist at different ages, senior one being from my church. Looks like he shrunk a little in old age...
It was fun, glad I went.
I have some chocolate muffins to bake for church tomorrow
Itching to go fiddle in the garden but nothing to do.
First potato green feeler poked its head up this day, April 23, 100 more days
RS I need a couple of those eggplants. I'll have Popgadget bring his plane by tomorrow to pick them up.
Give him one extra one for a tip.
As for the rest, we'll charge it up to the dust and let the rain settle it.

Drew, Not so easy to shell would be correct. First is removing the hull. Letting them dry and cracking helps. I learned that doing it without gloves soon leads to blisters on my thumbs. I like to place the hulled nuts on a tray and place in the oven with just the pilot going for a variety of roasted. But we also like them raw.
We have a special cracker for the very hard shells
Mac nuts are very toxic for dogs. Fortunately none of mine have bothered with the unhulled or uncracked nuts.

I also love macadamias but it is easier to buy a bag than collect and crack them. I love hot roasted especially but any macca is nice. Sad to remove such a nice tree but it is also too close to the clothes line and I can't mow under it like I used to be able to. Looks like today is the day as we can't take chances as the new pup knows they are there and goes looking for them. They also attract rats which we can do without.

Probably the hardest piece to replace is done on the shed. This one has power inside and camper outlet on the outside, plus door hinges. Ended up not replacing any studs, they were good enough, a little soft near the bottom. Had to lag the door in place to keep it in position while hinges were off.

Well, today was relatively a bust.... did get the grocery items all accounted for.... but forgot to take the gas and diesel cans with me. Not going to make a special trip, so will have to wait until Monday.
I think I forgot them because I got so excited about taking the car down to the 'do it yourself carwash'. I thought that might have been easier to do it there than here in the driveway, plus then driving would dry it off. ------ I won't do that again.... there was so much mud in the wash bays, I was slipping around. The cost has tripled since the last I was there..... $12 and I couldn't even get a subcompact car totally done....
By the time I got home, the winds were gusting and kicking up dirt again. Not as bad as yesterday, but worse than the weather guessers predicted. I tried vacuuming out the car, but dirt was blowing back in as fast as I could vacuum..... I gave up. Maybe it'll get done over the next few days.
Wifey made homemade spaghetti, meatballs, and sweet Italian sausage....
decided it would be a good thing for my mental outlook to just come in and have an early supper, which was delicious!
I keep telling myself that the wind / dirt isn't as bad as having a tornado, hurricane, wildfire, blizzard, ice storm, flooding, or other natural disaster take out the house and shop in the blink of an eye. Not to mention humidity and bugs. I guess anywhere will have pros and cons.....
OK, I'm off my soap box....
Anyone have a good suggestion for a pressure washer? I had 2 of the cheap 'no frills' entry level gas ones before (years ago) that didn't last but a couple years even though proper maintenance was done. I have been looking at a couple of the inexpensive electric ones, but don't know if they would be even worse. Uses would be for the vehicles, tractor, and house siding. Any input / suggestions would be appreciated. I was thinking about the $4-500 range if possible.
