Do you folks have to get your Diesel engined vehicles smog checked.

In my part of PA, diesels are exempt from the required emission inspection.

A member brought in an older 55 flat screen for us to use inside instead of our small streaming monitor which makes all those little faces too hard to see.
But gosh is this big thing ugly. I wish we could afford one of those tvs that rises up on hydraulics, like the yachts and rvs', so you don't have to see it unless it
is in use. Or a drop down screen and a projector. We are pretty low budget so getting by on donated equipment.

38°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 78° today. 40° swings these past two days. Cooler tomorrow, but back to the mid-70s by Saturday.

Here they have speed control cameras, they claim you are allowed 12mph above the posted limit. I got a bill, they don’t call them tickets because they have no affect on your license, for going 42 in a 30. Apparently you’re allowed 11.9 over the posted limit. I have no doubt these are revenue machines.

Lucky you. I was 8klm (5 mph) over the other day. I copped $183 and lost 1 point.

Ours are $40 and don’t affect your license.

Here in lovely NY state depending upon were you live the emissions inspections are different,
If the vehicle has OBD port it will be hooked up to the Department of Motor vehicles computers'
which will look for any stored codes or missing equipment, then a visual of the same as apart of the yearly "safety"
inspection, then if you reside in certain parts of the state you will also get hooked up to a tail pipe sniffer.
Fortunately for me that is mostly down state areas. No difference if gas or diesel. The diesels didn't have to be
plugged in till a few years ago.
