good morning all
going to be a nice sunny day today topping off around 40. Of course it always feels warmer with the sun out.

a JD university 2 day class, to learn changes to their engine diagnostic software.
DFtodd, all that good proprietary software JD surely does not like to give away, plus the right to repair issues.

do large tractors now allow live downloads and flashes like cars and trucks?

still smiling about the alligator news. Lots of positive emails flying around last night, folks excited to get out of mental doom and gloom
of last two years. Unfortunately now replaced by serious worry over Europe. The Ukraine has been warred over for a very long time, incredibly rich area,
some of the best farm land. Going to be a lot of scared cows and spoiled milk. And the cost to the real people who live there can be enormous.
We see headlines, they see frightened children and ruined lives.

If anyone can suggest relief organizations to contribute to, please share.

Buckeye, that is one contented cat. What do you use your floor coasters for?

Class is put on by our JD engine builder. And yes, it's using proprietary software with my own JD login.

We have access to Cummins, Deutz, Doosan, Cat, Deere, and a few others.

I only have access to the deere software at my location though on my company laptop.

I didn't bother ordering the laptop that comes with all the software. I wouldn't use it enough to justify the $6,000 expense, and $1,000/ year licensing. If you don't use it enough, they will pull it from our branch and give it to one that can use it.

There's an employee with the laptop and all the software locally at our other branch, so I can call him to come over the one time a year I might actually need it.

Morning all, a chilly 27
Off to sons band competition, need to go help load the trucks for a 1hour plus drive to another school.
Most of them went to the school formal last night (my son's first) so they seem a bit tired for some reason....

Alien - you need a hovercraft to get to the bridge , and certainly not getting under it. Hope nobody is getting hurt with that kind of flooding. Prayers for your brother and a safe escape.

No one is talking about energy or mineral resource blocking- wonder why :-(

Allergy doctor found out what I am allergic too, it's Quaternium-15, darned chemicals.

We don't keep in touch with relatives in Ukraine, praying they are ok........

Stay safe and be well,

There is a place near me called Best of France Antiques, the one thing you notice from the road is that they have a good selection of large (maybe 1/2 scale) dinosaurs in the front. Some may be full sized.
I pass by this all the time and need to stop by to get some pictures.
Very unusual place with lots of strange stuff, like old vampyre kits from 1800's

Once again, we only briefly had 33° last night but all morning 34° with a high of 36° forecast, with a 40% chance of some rain. Just overcast, calm, and dull around here.🤣 I went to Sam's Club and a donut shop, very few other customers in either this morning.

65°F and .15 inches rain.

Really need a dry day today to get some outside painting. Really dismayed at the wood selection/choices yesterday. More a shock, the price of paint ☹️

Enjoyed a nice dinner in town with wife after HD.

All you snow movers take care and be safe.
Found out other last Friday one of my younger neighbors (coffee farmer) had experience some chest pains and decided to get checked out at hospital. Yup, he had had a heart attack got 4 stents on Sat. Back home and doing well. Early 60s, on the thin side, exercises, good diet, would not have been even on my list if asked.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I have been finding Dr Daniel Griffin's weekly talks on TWiV interesting.
Search YouTube.

Good morning to all! Low of?? ..... I rolled over and fell into a deep 2 hour sleep this morning.... when I did get up, it was 36 already. Shooting for a mid 50's high. Snow is basically all gone except for the N facing shady areas.

Doug, glad you did get into town. That sure was a torrent going across the road. Glad your brother is making it out. Prayers still sent for the Ukrainian people.

Kyle, did you get the other rod straightened? Hopefully no more problems with the loader present themselves.

Ken, have fun at the band competition. Hope your son has fun too!

Dftodd, enjoy your trip /class.... sounds like you're looking forward to it!

Drew, I have tried to grow blueberries out here without success. They have to be done in containers because the natural soil is so alkaline. The water is considered to be very hard and on the alkaline side too. Just not a good combo. I have one tiny 8" blueberry plant that hung on from last season.... maybe this time?

Thomas, take it easy with the snow removal.... 12" can get heavy...

I'm gonna try to get out into the shop today.... been too lazy all week. The knee has been bothering me with all the cold weather and snow. It's only been swelling about half as 'normal', but I really haven't been active.

Next week will be running the Dr. gauntlet.... primary Phys. checkup, then next day cardiologist, then finally the ortho surgeon. I don't anticipate any issues, except for the ortho doc.... I need to get some answers about the knee. I hope that I can maintain my composure trying to get answers.....

I was surprised that all three of those appointments fell consecutively ..... they were all scheduled without any intervention from me. Strange they fell back to back days.

Everyone have a great day!

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 8:45AM. Partly cloudy skies this morning will become overcast during the afternoon. High 62F. Winds light and variable. Only 0.03" of rain predicted for next Wednesday now. And we're back to severe drought. Gonna need another March Miracle this year.

But we don't need as much rain as Doug is getting. At least not all at once. Glad you got another genny, and hopefully plenty of fuel for it, too. Good news for your brother, too.

Cases of aligatoritis in intensive care fell to just one yesterday, so it looks like we've turned the corner on this particular variant. Still taking all the precautions when I'm in town, though.

Jay would appreciate that kind of forecast, Buppies. Hope he's still doin' OK.

That's crazy weather, Kyle. Hope it calms down soon. Some people shouldn't be allowed to drive tractors.

Spent way too much time on hold trying to cancel my old automobile insurance yesterday. Went through two and a half batteries on the cordless phone, then just a few minutes talking. While I was waiting I read a few articles on Eugene, OR, and liked what I saw. All except for the high grass pollen counts in the summer from the seed farms farther north in the Willamette Valley. But there are a number of allergists to choose from, too.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend...

Went over the drive and walks...still enough snow to use the tractor and walk-behind snow blowers
The self-propelled EGO snow blower in in the truck's bed. At ~150 lbs. (65kg) and being a bit awkward, it's not a one person job lifting it out...wish I had 6' ramps. I left a message for my neighbor to come help...no response yet, so he's probably working some OT
I need to charge the batteries and read the manual...also, register the warranties for the snow blower, batteries, and charger.

Good Morning
28 when I got up, it’s all the way to 31 now and might go up another 5 degrees or so.
Yesterday was a lazy day, vet raised Emily’s anti seizure med after blood work showed lower levels than she wanted, other than that every thing is going pretty well. Hasn’t had another seizure, and seems to be her happy, friendly self, which is what’s most important.
Didn’t get much else done, but did play music last night.
There was a plane crash on Thursday afternoon nearby with two fatalities, one of them was a friend. But my phone rang off the hook with calls asking for details, and to make sure that I wasn’t involved.
It’s never easy, but fortunately they are fairly rare events.
