Still 58F and cloudy here @ 20:30 ... temps about to take a dive here though, once the front moves through (around midnight)

Woman finished up dinner this evening and said She sure wished She had some chocolate cake ... so I sprung into action ...:

IMG_1544 copy.jpg

Used the JIF Natural Peanut Butter in the icing this time, be interesting to see how that works out.

Had a taste of it (cleaned off the spoon) seems better than the regular ... but still not as good as Smuckers Natural.

I would hazard a guess that they want to get rid of the gas in a hurry or they are starting a gas war.
We've had gas wars up here and they are fun especially when the gas dips cheap enough.

Yeah ... we get that here as well.

It's mostly between two stations, on the same road about 1/2 mile apart, each owned by a different brother.

One particular one is often cheaper than the other ... although he's usually the one that is out of fuel.

The last one the gas was .799 cents/imperial gallon, way back before Trudeau senior was the PM, he was also the one that shoved the metric system down our throats. To make us more competitive with Europe. I think he did it to snub the U.S.

¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

FWIW, I'm still having trouble with US Customary Weights and Measures System ... let alone mastering metric.

Jeez!!
What brand flail mower do you have...and how wide?

I paid $1900 for my 73" Caroni flail mower 3 years ago..
It is a heavy duty Hayes 1500. New shaft is about $1100, bearings $120 and I am getting a spare set of hammer blades for it while I am at it. 24 hammers. And freight of course.
The mower cost $1800 over 4 years ago and now they are $2500 + $500 delivery. The rest of the mower is like new so well worth it and I will find someone to straighten the old shaft when I get time so I will have a spare. The original hammers are still pretty good but I wanted spares. It has 24.
My buddy recently bought another brand and paid more then $5000 and it does nothing but break the hammers. He has decided to buy a different brand and sell it. He couldn't get a Hayes without a long wait and he is regretting not waiting.

Cutting North American oil production is a major cause I dependent of other caused.

Well, since the previous chart I posted dealt World Oil Production, allow me to post this one which is specific to the US:

Screen Shot 2022-02-22 at 22.44.20.png

Here's a link to the interactive graph that produced that chart:

U.S. Crude Oil Production - Historical Chart

I set the chart to show a 5 year time frame for the image I posted above (same as previous charts I posted)

Using your cursor at the chart at that link and hover over the line on the graph, you can see that US Production started a steep dive in March of 2020 and finally bottoming out in August of 2020.

Since that point in time, production has been on a fairly steady uptrend, save for another steep drop in February of 2021 (which may well correspond to another wave of ... alligators ? ...)

Good evening all. 37ºF for the start, overcast moderate wind, 1.7 inch in rain gauge. Just standard thundersorms, have not had that much rain in a long time. Windy day, Overcast started breaking up late morning, temp recovered to 40ºF.
Low temp forecast to be 28ºF, and high temp was 62ºF at 4am. Temps plunged earlier than forecast, really changed today's plans. Did get the two limbs cut up, and was going to use golf cart to go to fish stocking event. It decided battery was 2 discharged to crank engine, so after trying to use engine starter battery, just took SUV. 71 bass, and 2000 copper nose bluegill later event was over. Bass were tranquilized to tag, measure, and weigh before release. Before truck left bass were swimming off. Got battery on charger, was below 12 volts :( got nap in. Had to take wife to dinner and grocery shopping, supermarket was a madhouse. No bike ride today will make it up tomorrow.

Up too early, but here I am...

56° (!!!!) right now...high in the mid-50's, so it's not going to change much. Supposed to drop to 10° tonight.

I got involved in a customer questionnaire...believe I brought this up yesterday. Pretty lengthy and not really something I should be doing, but here I am. Also had a few webinars.
Anyway, didn't get out yesterday, so definitely today for diesel.
As far as the dump run, called the township office and asked if it was open...never got a response, so no run. Per the schedule, the dump is closed today. Only 2 bags and a bunch of recycle (thinking about just burning the cardboard)

good morning all
Bird I think our weather is reversed, you should be warmer....
57 now going to 65 before cold plunge over next week, with all the cold weather finally moving in

looked at calendar and nothing for today. Yeah. Means a trip to supermarket and then hope to stay outside in this
warm weather while it lasts. Might do some leaf raking. Lot of rain coming in also, more than an inch.
Paul, not going to help your lawn a bit.

   / Good morning!!!! #146,200
well no leaf raking for me, remember doc said no lifting or exercise for a week so as not to pop a stitch.
Darn, 65 out, no way I'm staying inside.
Nurse yelled at me for opening/reaching up a little privacy screen in room yesterday, didn't we just tell you not to do xyz? Geez, never felt a thing but
I remained properly chastised and will try to be good. My late wife said the medical term was compliant.
Do what you are told....

by the front door of my house is a corner of the house which just collects leaves all the time. maybe I'll just take the Makita blower and move then out into the lawn.
So they blow somewhere else....though more likely to come right back. Flower gardens around house a winter dead mess, really want to clean them out. Next year I'll do a more
thorough job in the fall but didn't want to pull anything out when there was some life left. I should have.
This year more perennials.

just a tractor pic. The joys of a new machine coming in. Sure miss the farm.
