   / Good morning!!!! #144,782
We got a couple of inches today/this evening. Now we are going back down into the deep freeze by American standards. ;) -15 overnight and 0°F tomorrow.
As for what I wear outside in winter, jeans and a T-shirt under a flannel shirt and the coat is actually a lined flannel shirt and a French block heater/toque/beanny. I call it a french block heater because it keeps my block head warm.

More snow on the horizon here in this part of the country, forecast is a couple of inches starting tomorrow.

23° right now...far cry from yesterday's -16° at this hour. High today in the low 20's and snow showers.
Looks like the "big" storm/blizzard (this one is named Kenan) is going bypass us...I have mixed emotions on that, actually. Love watch it snow...don't mind snow blowing...just hate driving in it anymore

Our IT fixed my laptop...had a corrupted profile for one of the applications

good morning all
24 going up to 35 today on a snowy wintry day, flurries this morning, then starts for real this afternoon with up to 6 inches predicted.

I have a new (to me) fridge being delivered this morning. Landlord is getting larger model for a renovation so this two year old one was available.
Door has to be moved to opposite side and very narrow getting into house; all the more reason to let the pros handle it.

So my day will start with taking everything out of fridge and putting in cooler. Will leave frozen stuff in until last minute. Will take them a while to remove screen door
to get fridges past anyway.

then later this afternoon will go have a glass of wine with brother, good way to test awd on car.
First I have to self test this morning to be absolutely sure I didn't bring any bugs back from Florida.

neck is sore, no surprise, heat wrap working nicely.

Morning all!
21 here going to 29. We are in the 7 to 15 range of snow totals. I will have the tractor fueled up and the plow on today. Not much else going on with it being so cold out!

We have had our nephew with us all week as his mom was sick with full blown can't talk about it. It has now been 10 days without symptoms so he can go back home. It has been fun but sure does disrupt normal living patterns. Especially having to go out in this cold to get him to the bus stop.
Time for coffee and get the truck ready to go out.
Hope everyone stays safe, healthy and warm!

And yes, C is good and nothing under T

I am reminded of Harry Potter and He Who Shall Not Be Named
Let's keep our senses of humor folks

pictures and kitchen magnets off the fridge, ready to go back up
time to take trash can out and just beat the truck, forgot last night

30 going to 42, then likely snow and real cold next few days.

Will be harsh bringing firewood onto the porch today. Cut the outside spotlights on an hour ago and saw two skunks going at it...rolling, biting, kicking...and now I know...spraying. I cracked a window on the far side of the house and instantly got a whiff. Watching a skunk fight was interesting but I wish they had picked a different venue.

Cut a nice load of firewood yesterday, and now need to split it. First, I'll move a full pallet away from the splitter and bring an empty one up. All with the rich aroma of nature all around. At least the wind shifts to a better direction this afternoon and gets stronger...plus maybe a couple of inches of snow will knock down the stink.

Hope Ron is doing well.

was greeted with a pretty amaryllis when I got home and looks like second one about to pop also.
most surprising to me was that it appears my orchid is going to rebloom. I've never had much luck with them, usually
they sit there and do nothing. This one must be happy.
