RNG, always lusted for a 4in1 but could never mentally justify.
They provide outside dimensions and I built to them. Allegedly when all assembled it will line up with outside edges.Drew, is your shed foundation same size?
Don Sorry your tomatoes are done already, nice weather.
Good afternoon. 82˚F, clear skies.Don hope you can get more soon. If not we can meet and do a TP exchange![]()
Granted, it was probably more a question of want vs. need. The immediate need is to scoop up long piles of rocks gathered by a landscape rake. A regular bucket sorta works, but always leaves another pile of rocks perpendicular to the original. With the 4-in-1, you open the bucket, drop it so a jaw comes down on either side of the pile, then close it while rocking back so the jaws stay on the ground until they are shut. That's how rocks get trapped between the jaws. Without the 4-in-1, I've been hand shoveling the pile into the bucket, and not having to do that over and over is justification enough for now.RNG, always lusted for a 4in1 but could never mentally justify.
I've had good luck using 5/8" rebar for stakes, Drew. For that foundation, drive them in at a 45° angle to the ground, and that wood's not going anywhere.Which after installing the foundation this afternoon, I hope, I can then drill for extra large
spikes to drive down into ground.
daugen, I have one of those air riveting guns. Brilliant for my troublesome hands if I'm doing a lot but I just use a hand riveter if I only have a small number to do. I will probably use it when I put my new windows in.David, before that rivet gun eats you alive maybe you should treat yourself to a new one
if you intend to continue your career in metal sculpture.
I rarely buy expensive professional tools, but years ago almost by mistake I bought a
75 dollar electrical connector crimper. The beefy one that makes that satisfying click when it's all done
making a perfect connection. And when I was finished whining over what it cost, I realized it was one of the
most satisfying tools I owned to use. Just wait for the click. It wasn't a Klein but another good brand.
Maybe you need the beefier stronger model too.
this one looks strong:
or, if your wife tells you to get a really good one while still in euphoric bliss thinking about her new tractor on the way, and you have air nearby:
Leaves also starting to fall here Roy looks like next weekend blower will get it's first work out of many to come.Sometime this weekend, I'll start mulching the fallen leaves. Not too many have fallen, but it's best to keep them mulched or raked as they fall.
Good afternoon. 82˚F, clear skies.
The tomatoes have buds and get a few weeks reprieve to see if they can produce a tomato before being ripped out to make room for the winter veggies/greens. Scored a 36 roll of TP at Target so no TP exchange required. Has anyone noticed a shortage besides the limit signs at Costco?
My Brother got the same covid antibody test that I had.
My test 7 months after 2nd Moderna was 1746 U/ml
His test 1 month after 3rd Moderna shot was > 2,500 U/ml
Wife's test 6 months after single J&J was 301 U/ml
There is a separate antibody test for those who have had covid. On the test we took only the covid antibodies from vaccines appear.
Love the house!!!marvelous Kyle
took a drive through farm where I grew up, fun to look at apple trees still bearing fruit that I used to prune, incinerator I burned trash in for a long time, until
that sure became illegal. Cool old stone incinerator.
The tower up on the hill is Bowman's Hill Tower. About the same distance on the other side of that hill is Ken's home.
There were two homes on the farm; buyer's knocked down our 1720 stone colonial home and built a garage on it, but left my grandfather's stone home alone
thankfully. Then they built a 12,000 sf Italianate mansion nearby that doesn't fit into the area at all. And when they tried to sell that eyesore they had to take almost half
their asking price to unload it. Way more money than good taste.
Beautiful scenery and pictures!!Drew, nice looking farm.
As we got to the diner on the mountain, our friends were walking out. Figured I’d see them.
Got the big breakfast, 3 eggs, home fries, sausage, toast, 2 pancakes. Took them awhile, they aren’t fast but it was good. Took a drive thru mountains afterwards. Crossed AT several times, I showed wife the area near where I slept on a backpack trip on AT over 10 yrs ago. She didn’t take hiking boots, so no hikes. Did stop at penmar park on the AT and high rock.
