It got very ugly looking about 6:00 PM. Some wind, thunder, and lightning followed be a relatively gentle rain for about 45 minutes. About 10 miles south, there were pictures of a funnel cloud, but no reports of a touchdown.

Nice, Drew. Is the land currently under an ag exemption?
no, just a private estate that is already in a family trust.
Our family had the farm exemption for 60 years or whenever it came out. When the farm sold we had a huge (multi six figure)
recapture tax bill to pay

thunderstorms booming through then clearing later.
forecast for tomorrow is 97 degrees. Yikes.

Paul, thanks, we are all on the same page. I already logged on to EA and printed out Wicked Grapple info and info on their rototiller.
They don't have a lot of flail options though. Only 50 bucks more for adapter to JDQA.

RNG, as long as grapple will pick up a fairly large tree trunk, albeit cut in fairly small pieces, I'm fine with a short bottom.
Last grapple I had was a solid bottom WR Long that was way too heavy for the Kubota. But when I put that heavy beefy grapple on the big Massey,
oh my was that fun. Just shows how implements need to be sized properly and too big isn't good at all.

Yea, Just found out our WBV friend is alive when we saw the pic in the obit. same name and town but not that person! The person who reported it to us knew both and thought we knew both and the names sound alike - Cherry/Sherry.

JD dealer just sent me a quote and suggested I sit down.......... :)
75 grand and he forgot to include the flail. Looks to be discounted about 10 percent.
Kubota would easily be 10 grand less, plus he spec'd implements that were larger than I wanted.
Plus JD has that proprietary front hitch system that doesn't allow you to use generic SSQA implements.
You can add SSQA as an option but it adds almost 80 pounds which of course comes off lift capacity.

So JD isn't looking so good. He'll tweak the quote but I'm sure I can't afford it.
Plus he quoted a 66hp machine when I wanted something smaller.
Grapple, FEL, tiller and flail mower. I don't want their cheapest Frontier stuff but what he quoted was simply too
heavy duty for me. I sent him a long list of corrections.

And reminded him my grandfather bought a B from his dealership in 1941.
The 66 HP tractor was probably a 4066R cab...same machine I have (4052R) with more HP. Really nice machine! Maybe you should give it a 2nd looksee.
Deere's loader hookup has been around for a very long time and it's really easy to use. I much prefer it over the SSQA. Even if you did have to add an SSQA adapter plate, losing 80lbs loader capacity for a loader capable of lifting well over 2000# isn't much loss of capacity.
Frontier implements are pretty high quality. I have 2...a snow blower (rear mount 72" and made by Meteor) and a front blade. I don't think you'd finding any Frontier implements lacking in quality (and you'll pay for that quality!). However, I do tend to buy implements used whenever possible. I don't really need "nice and shiny".

Morning all!
72 here going to 89.Looks like another partly cloudy humid day.
Wife's eye procedure went well! Won't know if it worked till she goes back for a follow up.
Going to try and get the lawn mowed before it gets to hot. Still waiting for the dog days of summer to cease before attempting outside projects.
Probably get the field cut with the big tractor as that has air. Might try to do some of the yard also but the tires dig up the grass when turning.
Sorry about the gout Thomas! Do you know what your trigger food is?
Mine has been ok for a while without meds. (I Stay away from sea food and beef). I'm still not sure what sets mine off.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
