Morning all- Sunny with excessive heat warnings
Took out the tractor yesterday to flail some areas in the lower field and move some wood chips from Tuesday's tree work. Had to stop after a few hours as the bugs started winning. Thought a few might knock me off the tractor they were so aggressive (ok, they aren't that big, but certainly did some damage).

Steel cable on a trimmer- certainly good for large rusty areas?
Nasty storm last night, some rain, mostly wind and lightning.
Mostly - found with HP-need to completely uninstall any HP drivers/print apps, then reboot, then do complete install. HP drivers written by engineers since they fired their SW development printer team a number of years ago.
Sodamo - could have used those pineapples last weekend
Phil - glad to here wife's procedure went well- hope it worked better than expected
Eric - a cab would have been such a treat yesterday for work around here!
Drew - we have a concert Saturday or I'd go with you to the show. Everyone seems to be hurting their feet lately. Bunch of people did not come over last weekend, 2 from broken feet, one from hernia.

88 with dew point of 76, feels like is 100, high later of 93.

Fooling with the motor home this morning before it got too hot. Slide out was little glitchy, after a couple of openings though it smoothed out ok.
I must say so far the work to fun ratio is not very favorable, but the dog likes it.

We had 1” thick boneless pork chops with Chicago steak seasoning on the grill, Fordhooks and egg noodles with cheese. Since I started using my Bluetooth temperature probe I get way better results on the grill. Less over/under cooking.
I made some calls this morning and I’m not sure what else I’m going to do later. It won’t be very strenuous, it’s too hot and I’m too lazy.
We are supposed to go to the Sharptown Carnival tonight to celebrate my sister in law’s birthday and eat way too greasy and breaded oyster fritter sandwiches while sweltering in the heat and humidity.
Do I sound as thrilled as I feel?

88F and partly cloudy @ 12:15, HI 99, DP 75 ... heading up to a high of 89F.

Woman reports we had a brief thunderstorm earlier, with not a lot of rain while she was out inspecting the garden (in her house shoes ... ), which she reports is recovering nicely.

Looks like most of the storms have moved east, but I don't discount the possibility that we could have more develop later today, given how warm it is and how much moisture is in the air. Big cool down coming tomorrow.

Got fish fed last night along with a little tank clean up, need to do some more of that today.

Did not get shelf oiled (maybe today), but did help with a little kitchen clean up ... until she chased me out.

Also ordered a can of SABRE Red Home Defense Pepper Gel from Amazon ... which will be used to help evict the groundhogs and raccoons from the area.

UPS guy just delivered the gutter covers. There was some question as to whether or not the screws were included - some comments on Amazon said they were, others said they were not. None were included with ours, so I'll need to pick those up. One reviewer on Amazon said Menards had the best deal on screws.

Agenda for today:

Refill feeders.

Feed fish, along with some tank maintenance.

More mowing on the upper front, assuming that it's dry enough. Was surprised at how quickly the lawn seemed to dry up yesterday ... maybe the coring is helping with that ?

Haul some more screened compost down from the pile for the southwest corner.

I think I'll forego unloading the van given the heat and humidity. Saturday seems like it would be a much better day, given that the high is only supposed to be 78F.

67°F and .98 inches rain. A bit dryer right now, but showers in the forecast. Will have to see how the morning shakes out.

85° right now...made the dump run and got some fuel for the ZTR. Just finished mowing the front and side lawns. Getting a bit hot now, although I wasn't sweaty.
Grabbed a shower when I came in...enough outside work for the day. Probably finish on Saturday as the forecast is a considerably cooler day

Think I'll do my weekly laundry...get some chow and watch the tube for a bit...

Closing went really smooth...
