Good evening all. 74F for the start, overcast, light breeze. Rain threaten but never fell, sky cleared quickly after rain fell apart. Light wind today and high temp was 98F HI 104F, DP 70F. Mowed this morning, conserved energy this afternoon, did get video capture card ordered and nap in.

I stepped on my barn cat....she walks in front of you and meows, when she's hungry. I was walking and looking at something else and stepped on her front paw. Lucky for her I have my soft soled sketchers on. She still let out a small scream and ran away for a couple minutes.

Got on the big tractor after work, moved 2 dead tree trunks to the burn pile. I wanted to get them up to clear up an area, in case the hay cutter decides to come. Also I mowed/outlined the pond's outflow ditch area. It can be downright dangerous to someone in a tractor when covered up with 4' tall johnson grass.

This old Carburetor: Then I went to work on the Gator HPX. Got the oil changed, put fresh fuel in it. It started on 1 cylinder, then sometimes the 2nd would kick in. Acts like it is starving on gas, or the plugs are fouled....they had a lot of black on them. Soot. So, will try plugs and if not fixed, maybe order a new needle and seat with float. Oh how I love newer engines with high pressure fuel injection....until they throw a CEL.

Son and daughter went to Dr today. Son got 3 vaccinations scheduled for when he's 11. (Not covid). He got some popsicles and ice cream treats.

Drew, glad you got some worry off of your back. Pun intended.

RNG, still praying for rain out there. I'd want a deep swimming pool, with scuba equipment to hide in, if a huge firestorm hit. Probably need an hours worth of air or more.

Randy, glad the car club had a good event, hope the awning went on good.

David and Sophie, nice table and kitchen.

PJS, that would maybe be my favorite kayaking spot, with views like that. You don't hear too many complain about a good plate of Mexican food. I prefer TexMex style, since it's what I'm mostly used to.

Cat has diabetic keto acidosis. They are giving him insulin tonight. They want him in animal hospital but local one is full, would have to go further away.
The cat is 16 yo.

60° right now...high about 80 and rain showers this afternoon.
Getting Leaf Filters installed on the front of the house today. There are two trees in front that really clog the gutters come Fall. Since I tend to fall off ladders when I'm clearing the gutters, figure I'd give this a try. Don't need 'em in the back....trees are far enough away on that side, clogging the gutters isn't a problem. Hope these things work as advertised...and, I hope the crew shows up...

I tried sleeping in my bed last night...couldn't get comfortable so back to the recliner. Sooner or later, I'll figure something out...but I did get a full night's sleep on the recliner

good morning all
going to be a hot one here too, sunny and mid 90's.
going to spend the morning with MIL and SIL making phone calls to help
in move to old folks home. I just went through this moving up here so something I can help with.
Means a lot of waiting on hold I'm sure... Utilities, doctors, insurance, lot of changes at our age when one moves.

Then home to water plants which I find relaxing. First big tomato likely to get picked today.

Poured first cup of coffee. 60° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 84° with mostly sunny skies. Never did get anything done yesterday. Checked to do list. But by the time I got outside it was to hot and humid to stay outside. Need to mow grass today.
