Finished my biochar project. A new use for the COVID mask. I should get a blender to really pulverize it next time. My little sledgehammer really got a workout along with my screen sifter. The biochar is in the compost giving the microbes a boost. In about a week or so I’ll take the robust compost to the garden.

72°F and thunderstorms this morning, going up to 91° today. Looks like the rain will be rolling through in waves today. We could use some rain ... which is good, because the iThingie weather widget shows rain every day through next Saturday. Probably won't be cutting much grass this week.

Got to spend some quality time in the studio last night, first time in about a week.

I assure you, Eric, I am in no danger of being easily kidnapped. More a fan of cake than pie, though.

Don a great form of recycling, and putting it back into the earth instead of into the air.
Would be fun to leave one row without it, a placebo of sorts to see if you can tell the difference.

From what I have seen, a lot of the younger generation struggle to co-ordinate clutch and accelerator. I mean you can't do it when you are trying to send a message on twitter at the same time. At least with an auto you can do both.
Best thing they did here was to give an instant $1000 fine if the driver touches or looks at a phone when driving. They have cameras set up everywhere looking for that. Still people do it.

Along with the soil enhancements it also has a lot of "climate-related benefits", so everyone loves it. I wonder how many carbon credits I can get. I can just see it now burn piles will be turned into biochar piles and another source of income.

But when my dog goes out it’s like the fire bell ringing and all the critters scamper up trees or out the fence!

95 degrees out there right now. I just came in and got a shower. I've been out watching a crew of 3 build my new fences and gates out front and pressure wash and spray stain the fence across the back of the yard.
