Got the yard all mowed including the field. Sorry bees, the clover had to go. Left the front for son to mow while I grilled burgers. Wife did roasted potatoes, peppers, onions. And a salad, our little lettuce bed been producing pretty well.
Some isolated storms in the area, but not here. Better chance of rain next 2 days.

David, glad you got home. Hope Sophie heals well.

Don, batting .500 is great in baseball.

Pop top, you had busy day.

Good evening
It’s about 70 outside now got up to 90 before the thunderstorms started. We got about an inch of rain this afternoon.

I launched out of bed and got out of the house quickly this morning, had to drop one plane off for maintenance in the other end of the state, and bring another one back. I wanted to make sure I was back before the cumulus matured into thunderstorms, and I was successful.

When I got back I went straight to work in the shop. Picked up some more Baltic Birch, it went from $48 to $58 a sheet in the last week. I made a mount to attach the cylinder rain gauge to the pole out in the field. Not sure if the pole will interfere with it or not, but it was quick and easy, a piece of aluminum square tube, couple of TEKS screws and hose clamps.

Ken, is ADSB replacing surface radar at airports now?

Drew, I haven’t landed an airplane here in the last 20 years, but do fly helicopters in and out. The airplane that my son was flying was the one I bought to teach him to fly in almost 25 years ago.

72F and partly cloudy @ 21:00, headed down to an overnight low of 68F. Marginal risk of severe weather warning issued until 08:00 tomorrow morning.

Fed fish first thing.

Then took a couple of trash bags of shredded paper up to the compost pile and mixed it in the end of the pile that is for new additions.

Snuck down with one bucketload of screened compost for the raised bed. Decided lawn was too wet to do more.

After that called mower place and got prices on parts for Cub.

Had a couple of BLTMs for lunch.

Woman was getting ready to go to the grocery store, but I managed to run down to the corner gas station for gas for the Cub before she was ready to leave.

Worked on weeding around the ginkgo tree while she was out shopping, got that all done ... but it was pretty miserable. Tree seems to be doing well, good amount of new growth.

Woman delivered iced coffee from Dunkin upon her return.

Took a break to refill hopper feeder.

After that I worked on more raking along the driveway pavement and the east side of the house.

Two dump cart loads taken up to the compost pile for the day.

Ham and beans for dinner again tonight ... but this time with cornbread ... (y)

Hope everyone had a great day.

Bike rid this morning, cadence monitor did not come online till end of ride, heart rate monitor seems to have died. Got a new one on order. Washed the boat, just 2 cars and 3 bikes to go :) . No Kentucky coffee either, but the Bullitt Rye the night before was quite tasty….
It's spelled Bulleit, and you're right...good stuff!!
I normally drink it with a couple cubes, but it's great as a mixer too

65 right now...high in the mid-80's today...

Still improving...pretty close to 100%. If it doesn't rain today, might mow the back yard (fenced in area) I was too weak to get to last weekend...

Poured first cup of coffee. 64° with partly cloudy skies. Heading to 85° with scattered thunderstorms in afternoon. It sure was humid in afternoon yesterday. Helping neighbor make a new countertop for his poolside Tiki bar. Sure is costing a lot for the lumber. Going to take a few days to get it done.

Moving In.

71 heading to 89 and maybe a storm. No rain yesterday.

Good to hear the news on Sophie.

BEF, I always worry about the bees when I'm mowing, too. If they are "thick" I'll postpone a mowing. The clover is the best I've seen this year.

Roasted coffee yesterday, got an error code at the end and was able to clear it, but am troubleshooting today. Had a good hike in the battlefield forest down to the river...dozens of toads and frogs on the trail...it was hot and muggy.
