Good morning
It’s 50 and going to 70 with clear skies.
The rain total since Friday was either just over 3” or 5” depending on whether you believe the Tempest or Davis.

Yesterday was largely spent on cleaning up and organizing in the shop. It seems like I’m always too busy when working on a project to clean up, but then I’ve always got a huge mess to deal with between projects. Got the blade changed on the wood cutting bandsaw, had to refresh my memory on coiling up the one I took off. That’s one of those tasks that takes “the knack”.

I would like to mow today, but I suspect that it is too wet. Busy week this week, trips Tuesday and Friday, big outside party for grandson’s birthday on Saturday. I’m going to smoke 6 pork shoulders for the party starting it Friday evening when I get home.

56 going up to 74 today in drying weather.
Oldest brother and wife coming for a visit after lunch, they are up from VA for family dinner tonight
at my other brother's home locally. So I'm glad the lawn crew showed up bright and early to mow the place.
Downside is grass is wet and I will have to go out and hose everything down to get the splattered grass off it, like
the outdoor flower pots. This is why I ordered a mower with a bagger, to eliminate the mess and not track it inside
which I do constantly.

got a little foodshopping done this morning, McCaffreys was fully masked, customers and staff, while Giant apparently says it's fine
for no masks. I really hope we don't find out one of them was very wrong...

taking a break, second cup of coffee, then out to pick bibb lettuce.

It is a beautiful day. Blue sky with white clouds. Painters are here today so I probably won't get anything done here at the house but I hope to mow at the farm this afternoon. Hope grass isn't too long.

I really hope we don't find out one of them was very wrong...

Me too! The numbers are way down here but there is still some every day. Lancaster county is behind the state average for vaccination. Fingers crossed.🤞

a fine haul, reminds me to order a lettuce spinner
would have been easier if I hadn't had to take five minutes to painstakenly wash
the lawn clippings out of the lettuce. Next time I locate the lettuce away from the edges.

yes, after zooming in I found three pieces of grass in here, I think I caught most of them putting them
in baggie

Scaredy, good luck with the Jacobsen. Nice piece of equipment to renovate.

67° and sunshine finally, nice cool breeze. Put down some more black plastic in the garden, which wore me out already. Going to help wife with more yard work.

69°F and 2.47 inches rain.

Need to find a convenient place for my newly acquired cabinets. Have to get a size inventory so I can be thinking possible configurations. Also a closer look at condition. Then back to Sheetrock.

Zoom Happy Hour this afternoon. To my knowledge the Governor/Mayor still haven’t relaxed size for gatherings at restaurants yet.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

68F and sunny @ 13:00, headed up to a high of 72F. Winds light and variable, same expected for tomorrow with a little higher high temp.

Refilled hopper feeder yesterday, saw mob of six bluejays out back.

Replanted one of The Woman's pots that the chipmunks dug up, then made up some cayenne pepper juice and sprayed it. Will see if that keeps the little buggers at bay.

Also planted about a dozen marigolds next to the Japanese yew closest to the front steps.

Collected trimmings from Japanese yew and took them up and incorporated them in the compost pile.

Added another bucketload of screened soil to depression from the water/gas line trench that had settled and got that spread out with the box blade. Still needs raked and seeded ... and there's more dirt spreading and seeding to do over by root area.

Got mowing down here around the house all done.

Ran down to Menards and picked up order, grabbed another suet feeder from TSC since it was across the street.

Also grabbed a medium iced Butter Pecan coffee and an Old Fashioned from Dunkin, since it is next to TSC ... (y)

Picked up another 8 gallons of gas on way home for the Cub Cadet.

Had one bluebird fledge early ... saw it on the ground next to Nest Box No. 1. Attempted to corral it to put it back in the nest box and was unsuccessful. Woman and I searched for it again after dinner and no joy. Status currently unknown.

On the agenda for today will be aerating the lower front, then possibly having The Woman mow the upper front while I do some additional spraying on areas that got missed the first time around.

Hope everyone has a great day ... (y)

Ended up mowing the yard.

Ran gas out of little tiller to put it away. It started on 2nd pull the other day and today, but I did tear the carb apart and cleaned it last year.
I want to hill the potatoes before I put plastic between them. Starting to dry out, was muddy when I put plastic between the beans earlier.
Beautiful day out to remember those that didn’t return.
