Good morning, low 36 and high 70°F. Wind E 5 mph. Sunny!

The front grass got cut yesterday with the walk behind mower. I am paying for it now. My knees do NOT like walking on uneven ground and my front lawn isn't golf green smooth.

Two guys I went to HS with one came back from 'Nam and one didn't. I too, don't care for the A-holes that get in yer face because of people that consider it their duty to their country to serve when called upon.

I am seriously considering trading in the Dodge on a Jeep or a Ford pickup. I just don't know if I want to get into debt any deeper than I already am.

I think I am going to lay low today and conserve energy.

Have a safe day all

Ron, nice sunrise

Roy, yes on all. I remember wondering if my brother was going to get drafted. My dad volunteered to go in WW2. Good Day to stay in.

48°, getting ready for worship. Next week we start up classes.

Good morning all. A clear sky morning for us, possibly the the first time this year we will be closing curtains in the afternoon to keep the house cool.

This was the view towards town as I strolled up the slope on my way to chase weeds in a hay field with a knapsack. Lots of half hidden gems in the grass.

though I'm glad I can still push the chain brake and run pretty quick
Yikes Ken, that was a scary drop !

...my wife telling me a story, and then her attention was captured by something out the window...she then tries to resume the story, pauses, and asks, " what was I saying?" Well, I repeated word for word her last sentence and she smiled.
Wng, the thing with wives is that you can never be sure if that wasn't just another test - glad to hear you passed in style ! :)

Wifey knows if she wants my attention, she'll call my name in a strong dialect and wait for eye to eye contact
Kyle, you have a very considerate (and pragmatic) wife ! My name only gets called in exasperation after I have failed an attention test. :giggle:

We all need a rest after a grandkid visit yesterday. Max needs it most, his devotion to the little one had him following on an adventure into "the bog" that had water to within 1/2" of wellie tops.

Good Morning
It’s 46 and forecast to stay there in light rain.
The Tempest is claiming 4.91 inches since Friday, the Davis recorded 3.1 for the same period.
The pool and pond water levels are up substantially regardless of which is the correct number.

Yesterday was spent inside as predicted, except for a walk to the pond to check out the water level. Made good progress on speakers, looks like orders for 4 more are inbound.
Spent quite a bit of time with the recordings from Friday nights rehearsal. It was encouraging that we got more right than we got wrong, especially when you consider we had over a year off.

I went to Best Buy and picked up a set of Bose Bluetooth noise cancelling earbuds, so far I’m pretty impressed with them. I was not sure what to expect, because they got mixed reviews, and Bose has a large following of people that either hate or love their products. I admit to being influenced by my experience with their Aviation headsets which I’ve used for over 2 decades, but there’s plenty of their product line that I don’t like. We used to say “no highs, no lows?, must be Bose” when referring to their first attempts at professional audio.

Not sure what I will get into today

The ONLY time I paid real close attention to my wife was when she wanted to be my X.

Pop, my speaker of choice is Cerwin-Vega. Sure they are a tad bassy, but I like some bass anyway.

60F and partly cloudy - still lots of sun however - but rather breezy - winds out of the northeast gusting to 16 mph. Headed up to a high of 64F.

Put out 20 mealworms in front feeder yesterday, down to 5 left in about 1/2 hour ... all gone within the hour.

Then got second mealworm feeder set up out back ... after breaking down and running to local hardware store for a conduit fitting that I needed and couldn't find here. Put out 20 mealworms in it. Need to check today and make sure they found it.

After that I headed out for some running around: Amazon return dropped off at Kohl's, cat food picked up at pet store, free medium pie picked up at Dominos for dinner.

Fed fish after dinner. Released next batch of S. fryeri fry from egg tumbler ... and some were immediately attacked by their (month) older tank mates ...

Needless to say I won't do that again.

Likely mow down here around the house today as it needs cut and is due.

May also hit the lower front and down around the house with the aerator again.

Will hold off on any spraying until tomorrow, when the winds are forecast to be much lower (< 5 mph)

Finish tightening bolts on spreader and get it moved out into the garage.

Wash off friend's spreader that I borrowed and return it.

Also pick up gas for the mower while I'm out.

May run down to Menards later to pick up order, if I have time before they close.

Good news: noticed the rhododendron in the west planting bed that I had thought had died now has leaves on it.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe Sunday ... (y)

70°F and .15 inches rain

Unexpected trip to Kona side this morning. 12 kitchen cabinets for $200. Way more than I need but hopeful I can configure to exceed my plans for caretaker unit. Unless total crap, more economical than I can build.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

No mask mandate at worship today, so most did not wear them.

Still only 51°, overcast blah day.

Got my new hand power planer, gotta go try it.

Good afternoon! 79˚F Cloudy 40% chance of rain (none for two days now).

Eric I was trying to see the cartoon figures on those wild boots but could not quite make them out. Looks like they found some mud.

Kyle I guess I'll just have to look for a car for your daughter now. What would be an acceptable car for her, or will she be a truck person?
Keep us posted if you work on the hail damage other wise you don't have to worry if you get caught in a hail storm like I did driving to College Station once. That's when you are desperately looking for a car wash, filling station, overpass, or an unused carport.

Buckeye our second Sunday without mask mandate still had 5 people with mask, probably the ones who couldn't get vaccinated.

At the Domaine in Austin (mall) the sign said those fully vaccinated do not have to wear a mask, about 75% of the people had mask on. I did not and it felt good. However I was a little intimidated when I saw 3 police officers walking the store with mask and was questioning if I read the sign right until I saw 3 more without mask, then I was questioning why so much security today, just did not feel right.
