You guys talking about gloves....My new friend from South Africa highly recommends the Dunlop brand of rubber boots. He says they are "all day comfortable" for him. They go from the cheap price, to quite expensive. Here's the cheap ones.

Personally, I don't recommend wearing rubber boots for long periods, if your feet get sweaty. I believe it causes toe nail fungus.

50F and cloudy @ 23:00, all the rain has moved out for now ... although I see a band to west over in IL/IN/MI associated with a cold front heading this way. Looks like we got a little over 1/2 inch since midnight.

Hourly forecast on WU calls for showers tomorrow between 11:00 and 13:00. We're also under a Freeze Watch for tomorrow night.

Got banana worms and white worms all fed, white worms about to overrun one container so I set it aside to be harvested tomorrow. Three other containers looked decent, two were sparse - having been harvested recently.

All fish fed, front glass cleaned on four tanks. S. fryeri fry growing rapidly ... Woman commented on them when we were down there the other day. They're ravenous ... just like the adults.

Got model and serial number recorded off the Cub.

Got sanding drum put on the holder and tightened up and tested it out with the drill on the barn owl box, seems like it should work fine ...

Woman made oatmeal raisin cookies this evening after dinner. Very tasty ... (y)

Amazon delivered order sometime around 20:00 this evening ... just normal Prime Delivery. Fairly impressive - given that I didn't actually place the order until well after midnight last night.

The booty:

The lights are 11" single row LED's (with a flood pattern) and they claim they are 50W each (which appears doubtful, at least according to one report)

I imagine they will be plenty bright for my uses. Probably mount them with one facing forward and the other to the rear.

The magnets are rubber-covered neodymium with stainless mounting hardware. Rated for 40 lbs vertical pull each. They came with nuts and lock washers, but I'll probably use stainless locknuts with nylon inserts.

Just need to figure out how I'm going to wire up the junction where the power and ground connect to the wiring harnesses.

Way behind on replies ... hopefully catch up in the next couple of days.

Hope everyone had a great day.

Question for you guys that know automotive electrical systems...in this case, a UTV (Deere 855D)

I have two 48w LED lamps I's mounted on my Gator last weekend. I didn't wire them in yet. The lamp's pigtails are 16 or 18 gauge wire. I'd like to splice them in to a rear work light (halogens) wiring harness which, I'm pretty sure, is 14 gauge. The rear work light kit was purchased from Deere a few years ago. This would save a lot of extra work in running the LED power, plus I wouldn't have to install another switch on the dash...both front and rear light would be actuated by the same switch

So, what's my best option? Run 14 gauge from the LED pigtails, or run a smaller gauge to the wiring harness and splice it in there? Is this feasible without damaging something?

good morning all.
stopped taking pills last night, feel like I went round and round in a lapidary tumbler this morning.
I'm sure all normal.

Roy, 50 watts is less than 1/2 amp. You should be able to piggyback on that safely I would think.

Electrician coming this morning, will be out of power all day. Reminds me to power up the laptop.
At least high will be in sixties and not as hot as yesterday. I had to sit in the basement with my book for an hour
to cool off yesterday.

nice lights RS. Cat approved.

Randy, hope you are ok this morning, you too Ted.

be careful when you mow Texans. 70 year old man died from stings due to Africanized honey bees yesterday
and look what sets them off:
Especially when you are dealing with that species of honeybee, absolutely, the vibration of a lawnmower,
the vibration of a weed eater, kids banging or stomping around close by -- they will get defensive."

Woke up to find I have to worry about bees. I’m going back to sleep to have another crazy dream.
