Heading up to 87 and 23mph wind blown pollen.

LS, sounds like a bad fall...hope you're not finding new bruises today.

Don, good story about your wife getting off her auto-immune meds. You are both good success stories of healthy diets.

Just got back from an early dermatologist visit to follow up on the biopsies about a month ago. One on my forehead was a squamous cell cancer. She said we caught it very early, so she used a curettage and electro method to remove...didn't hurt, but the needles for numbing stings.

Was it you, Kyle, that needs to schedule an exam with a dermatologist??

Stopped by Northern Tool on the way home, after seeing that they carry Stihl products...picked up an air and gas filter for the chainsaw, work gloves and a tarp on sale. RNG, did you ever decide what work gloves you think are best? I have and still use a lot of different ones, but have never found any I like better than the Stihl ones...pricey as they are.

PJ, didn't seem like a rant, just saying it like it is. But to answer your last question...you are still giving him business, right?

I'm using the Showa Atlas gloves right now, Billy, and after three weeks of daily use, they're still holding up pretty well. They're also much thinner than any leather glove I've tried, which means I seldom have to take them off to fiddle with small items like coins or nuts and bolts. But that same thinness means there's less padding and less protection, which makes my hands a little sore after a long day handling firewood. I've even developed a callous or two, but that would likely happen in any glove. One other drawback is that the nitrile dip makes my hands sweat, and after a couple weeks they started to smell like a pair of gym shoes. A trip through the washer fixed that right up, so now I'm tag teaming two pairs of gloves, and still have ten pairs left. I wear a size 9 glove, and ordered the medium size Atlas. They fit on the tight side, but the material is very stretchy so it's OK. But if I ever order more, I think I'll get a large. But the way these things are lasting, this batch might well outlast me.

Edit: The Atlas gloves even work with the iPhone.

Reminds me of a CalTrans road crew, Paul: three people working, five more standing around with their hands in their pockets. :ROFLMAO:

Maybe. Depends on a couple of things. One, what the new quote looks like. One of the things she's been trying to talk to him about was changing the quote. Since we cleared the existing fence lines and removed the old fence last summer, there will be an additional 300-ish feet of fence, plus another gate. I'm anticipating that we're going to get ganked on the price, since the cost of steel and wood has ballooned since the first quote last May.

Two, we'll see if he shows up next week.

We had another fence guy recommended to us as well who we talked to a few months ago. He still hasn't sent us a quote, and hasn't replied back since the initial contact.

65°F and no rain, but threatening.

Back to furring strips today. Task is the ceiling, bound to be a PITA being all overhead/ladder work. Hope I have enough drill bits.

Hope all you guys are feeling better. Not going to attempt by name, might miss someone.

Grill some chicken on the Primo this afternoon and Guys vs Gals Hand& Foot.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Not now, the other 5 stand around staring at their phone.

Like me now, just got my arm pricked again, waiting for my observation time to end.

We had a small culvert that was clogged, two dump trucks, two pickups and a Tahoe showed up. Out of the group, one guy with a shovel finished the job in 15 minutes.

61F with steady rain @ 14:30, whatever the high temp was, it looks like we already hit it.

Rainfall of 0.44" so far, but coming down at a rate 0.47" per hour. Rain is due end around 16:00, but another chance of some additional later tonight.

Should make for good conditions tomorrow to aerate the lawn. Only downside (other than possibility of more) is that the high temp will only be around the mid-50's, with winds out of the northwest @ 20 - 30 mph.

Saturday might be better, since it's supposed to be mostly sunny with a high of around 65F.

Ten Day calls for more rain on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this coming week. Pretty typical here for this time of year.

We've entered Big Spring Bloom/Leaf Out phase of things, where everything is really starting to green up.

Not much on agenda for today yet, Woman just returned from successful shoe shopping. No doubt whatever ends up on agenda will be inside activities.

More garage clean up seems like a good prospect, also finish cleaning up that FRP sheet.

Amazon due today with a couple of lights, wire loom, and switch for Cub. Also some deer repellent. Forgot to order an weather-proof accessory outlet ...

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

Our rain quit before 8 a.m. after we'd gotten about 2.15" of rain in the previous 12 hours or less. At least I don't THINK that we had any hail, but the morning TV new showed car windows busted and a lot of other hail damage in the Ft. Worth area. The roofing insurance adjuster called, as expected, to say he wasn't coming today, BUT he said he's planning for mid day tomorrow, even though there's still rain in the forecast, so we'll see, and I don't expect him since it's already started raining again this afternoon.
