PJS, I tried to grow hair longer, but it flapped around behind my motorcycle helmet, and ended up with tangles and split ends.
Getting to the point where it's long enough to gather up in a pony tail and shove down the back of your jacket is a PITA, Kyle. But I figger I'll be there by the end of the summer...

Good Morning!!!! 57F @ 8:00AM. Abundant sunshine. High 79F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph.
Back to no rain in the ten-day, with highs in the mid 80s to low 90s. Summer is back, but I was hoping Spring would hang around a bit longer.

We had driver's ed in summer school, but my high school didn't offer it. So I rode my bicycle five miles one way to one that did. It was one or two days a week, I think for six weeks. Mr. McCormick was the teacher's name. We watched all the Blood Alley type movies, designed to scare the crap out of us and tame down the speed demons. Didn't work. Mom drove a Ford Country Squire wagon with a 390 in it, and I learned about sliding it through corners by near accident. Also used to sneak it out in the wee hours of the morning to help deliver papers. Took the driver's test in it, too. My legs were shaking so bad during the parallel parking part my knees were banging together. Still managed to pass, though. Dad used to take me to a local cemetery to practice, said he figured I coouldn't kill anybody there. :ROFLMAO: His favorite instruction must have been "Slow down, you're wheelin' it!" as I went through corners too quickly for his liking. Good times!

Hope the surgery went smoothly, Drew, and your recovery is rapid. A friend of mine tried to take his hand off with a log splitter last week, and he's complaining about his cast. Hope your sling is clothing friendly, and you get the hang of one handed life.

Are you sure your doctor isn't trying to pay off a swimming pool, Randy?

New Z-turn, RS? Yours or the missus?

Most of yesterday was spent limbing a few trees at the top of the hill so the tractor would fit under them. The pine was about six feet high when I moved up here, and now it's over twenty feet, tall enough to drive under. Lots of badly burned limbs down low, so many I'm surprised it survived the fire. The oak tree next to it looked more like a bush when I started, with limbs going all the way down to the ground. The trunk forked a couple feet high, going almost horizontal, to I cut that off; almost eight inches in diameter so it was like cutting down a whole tree. Probably cut off half of that tree to get it looking like it should. Dragged the limbs thirty feet and threw them down on the driveway. In the past I'd have piled them up on the back of the side-by-side and strapped them down, making a lot of trips to get everything down to the burn pile. This year I used the grapple instead, and got it all down there in four trips, all done sitting down.👍 Once the leaves start to fall off it'll be dry enough to burn, but not sure that'll happen before fall because an outright burn ban is likely to happen first.

More of the same on the agenda for today, but I'm hoping most of the trees only need a few branches clipped.

Rednecks don't do the man bun thing, Rick. Usta part it right down the middle, but I think I'm gonna leave it over on the side this time around, just in case the Rogain thing don't work.😄

Yes.

Yours or the missus?

Joint-ownership at the moment ... she requires a good bit more seat time to see if it becomes exclusively hers ... ;)

Right now she's out on the Kubota mowing the front. I did the trimming and close in work with the Cub.

She'll get some more time on the Cub later today, down here around the house.

They are very handy ... (y)
