When I ran my 01 Jeep wrangler (TJ) strictly on the highway I got 25 - 26 mpg. I put a big tank in it and the mileage only suffered .5 gallon.
What realy destroyed the mileage was my taking out the 3:07 rears and puting in 4:56 with posi in the front.
Down to 23.5 mpg. Still pretty good for something on wheels that is about as aerodynamic as a phone booth.

Got the back blade off and the back ho on.

Guess it comes down to definition. I didn’t see much definition in the citations above.

My guess is true lock down, meaning absolutely no contract with another human being outside your household doesn’t happen but extremely rarely. Has there been contact that involved social distancing, masking, hygiene, I suspect so. If you had contact without social distance then you weren’t locked down.
May have missed somebody, but I can’t recall anybody on this site or anybody I know personally that observed true, absolutely no contact lock down, but I sure know significant number of people that have limited contact while practicing safe distancing, masking, hygiene.

Just my opinion of course. I am very glad that those I am likely to encounter have been vaccinated and still follow safe practices.

I got covid Arm. It's not supposed to be here this late in the game. I got my second Moderna shot 4 weeks ago and I now have a rash the size of a softball on my arm the center is where the injection was given. I don't know how long I have had it because I was not looking for it and have been wearing long sleeves. I was wearing short sleeves today and my wife noticed it. She says it looks like it is fading.
Did anyone else get covid arm?

And similarly, you probably get just as much lack of definition from some in the media and the general population when they discuss or refer to it and bandy the term about willy-nilly.

Like Pappy used to say:

"All they really know about it is they are agin' it ... and don't like it much either !!!"

Basically, it ("lockdown") involves a whole range of non-pharmaceutical interventions which are intended to limit the spread of the disease and can range from mild measures such as mask mandates and maintaining distance to more extreme measures such as requiring people whose jobs are not considered essential/critical to the functioning of society to stay home and non-essential businesses to temporarily close.

Quarantine (self-isolation) if you know you've been exposed, etc. The whole list of interventions is too large to easily list here.

A number of specific things from this range of measures was discussed and/or mentioned in a number of the citations I previously linked.

Yes.

David, I believe I understand your meaning here ... and if so, I would agree ... (y)

Largely the same here - but using your definition (as per the above) that's being "locked down". (Assuming I understood you correctly)

But as RNG observed, it's the people who refuse to act responsibly who are the problem children.

Just my opinion of course. I am very glad that those I am likely to encounter have been vaccinated and still follow safe practices.

I can't say that everyone I'm likely to encounter is vaccinated or follows safe practices ... simply because if one goes out and about into the general public it's hard to know who you'll encounter.

But it's a safe bet that if they aren't following safe practices, I'll be headed in the opposite direction in fairly short order.

Sorry to hear that ... for more than one reason ...

I may have an appointment on Monday to get the first Moderna shot ...

It's a long story and remains to be seen whether they will actually jab me or not.

Are you experiencing any discomfort or pain from it ?

Weakness or limited use ?

My BIL did. Apparently just one of the possible reactions some have.

We are 3.5 weeks past second Moderna shots. Wife got the rash and it’s just fading away now, it was about the size of a baseball. I had a spot about the size of a half dollar for about a week. Funny how the reactions affect people differently.

Coffee is done brewing. 47° with rain this morning. Heading to 50 with AM rain and afternoon winds. Got .44" of rain overnight. Trip to Port Huron went well. Good visit. After rain stops. Going to neighbors to chip up couple of small trees he cut down. Then some NASCAR on dirt.
Not sure what squirrels has in its mouth. Probably something for a nest. It brought it to garden pond and washed it off in water.

It amazes me that a couple word statement generates 10,000 words of reply. That I will not read. It does not belong on Good Morning.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

Strange how folks will react to the CV-19 shots. Got my second shot on Feb 13. A small red spot developed two days after and itched a little. It disappeared the following day and nothing since.

Otherwise - a monumental morning. As we approach sunrise the temps are rising - not falling. Perhaps spring IS here. It's overcast and 45F right now.

good Sunday morning all. Going to be a rainy stormy day as a weather system comes through, definitely an inside day.
Nice dinner last night with friend here, we enjoyed making pulled pork sandwiches from Popgadgets prized supply.
I had four different sauces for it and she found one she really liked, a sweet and sour habanero mix, but not before the wonderful smoky smell made her
say "boy this smells nice. Please tell your friend this is really good" She had never had pulled pork before.

I can't do anything more in the garden until my longer electric fence posts come in, plus my plastic and hoops to cover the garden for Thursday nights freeze.
Either the deer will eat everything or mother nature will ruin so a dicey time for an unprotected garden. I hope to have it all ready by Tuesday and get the squash planted.

Until then I might re/up-pot some plants and let their roots grow. Took all my seedling trays outside yesterday in bright sun, let them harden for about four hours and brought them
back in. Just about all of them went from light green to medium green. At least one more day of sunshine for them and then I can plant. I did this before three years ago and 80 percent of
my "house" plants died when they hit the sun, absolute true vampire reaction. So I've learned I have to take this more slowly; the real sun is a lot harsher than my little blue and red grow lights.

Ron, you are up early. A tip of the coffee cup to you.
