Good Morning
It’s 38 and headed to 59, another day of mostly clear skies. Snow is melting like crazy, more grass than snow cover now.

Yesterday was a good, but lazy day. It was my wife’s birthday, and the kids all stopped by for lunch and to visit.
After that I used my Leica laser distance meter that I got for Christmas to measure my son’s pond for a fountain. An impressive amount of water flowing out of the pond from the snow melt.

And to top the day off, a friend that’s a great musician came by with his Martin D28 guitar that he bought new 50 years ago and we played together for hours, mostly “classic country” like Hank Sr. and Merle, as well as more contemporary stuff and other genres. It’s the longest I’ve played an upright bass in decades. I had a ball, and my hands don’t feel too bad this morning.

Spent a while looking for appointments this morning, still not successful.

Sure hope that we get to attend some holiday parades this year. Over on my local towns FB page. I have been posting some picture I took at July 4 1976 Bicentennial parade in my hometown. Milford, Michigan.

Last gas I bought for my Ram was $2.19, now it’s 2.79. Of course at three weeks to the gallon that’s not too big of a deal.

Mostly, Sorry to be confusing, I put the rounds in the hole temporarily to keep any skunks in there from coming out while I was cutting firewood right beside the den.

I became eligible this week and it looks like a lot more vaccine doses are becoming available ... so with any luck I should be able to get hooked up fairly soon.

Nice parade pic, Ron. Hope we're back to more normal celebrations this coming Independence Day.

Kyle, Foxes aren't a problem here. I've watched them catch field voles and rice rats, and they do poach an occasional squirrel or rabbit. Food is abundant, and we don't have chickens. We tried one time with some bantams, but they disappeared the first night.

LOL ... no ... just that the minimum age qualification in Ohio dropped again 4 days ago (age 60 and older)

29F clear sky low 40's for high,next 4 days taste of spring weather.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...shovel snow ends from 2 culverts 1 of culverts lot digging,maybe quick trip to town for critter food.

I filled my pickup yesterday, $2.999 so might as well say $3.00 a gallon.
I saw that they hi-test none-ethanal was $3.50 a gallon, I need to fill a couple of cans
they are almost empty.

Hope everyone has a good day and enjoys themselves, first non freezing night in quite awhile.
Supposed to get up to 50F today and warmer for the next couple before it goes back down to 40 days
and freezing nights.
Change the oil and filter and fuel filter in my pickup, then swap out the snow tires for the summers
later this week. May be jumping the gun on the tires but a quick trip to Jacksonville NC on the schedule
for next week, my SIL is having his retirement from the Marines next week. So a quick run down and back.
