Buckeye, winter may be over but I still think we are going to get a big snow in March.

Yes, we probably will. But it won’t stay long. This is one of the longer snow covered winters we’ve had in awhile. But the next 10 days will see high 40s and 50s. I’m fine with that. 50 ° when I leave work feels like springtime. We always get 1 snow in April.
Still got ice in my driveway.

Good evening. It hit 60 briefly today. A significant amount of the white stuff is gone! Other than tomorrow, more days of warmer temps n 5he next 10 day forecast.

Made hotel arrangements for GA and FL to catch the start of the racing season. Used some frequent stay points that got me rooms for free. We are getting unique hats and shirts for the crew this season.

Everyone stay safe out there

Haven’t got thru the day yet.

I average 71 kWh per day for the last year. Couple yrs ago, with a mild winter it was 56 kWh.
Electric water heater and dryer is the biggest, then my geothermal. I think the dryer runs every day.
Up until 2005 I got billed electric 2 months at a time, and it was around $150 a month at $.06 per kWh.
In 2007 rates hit $.08
In 2009 rates hit $.10

The biggest jump in electric was switching from oil heat to geothermal. Before geo it was But I still save money over buying oil.

Good evening! Temp reached 80.2˚F today. Cool front blew in and will be 48˚F in the morning. Park cedarcided today.
All the live oaks in the hill country are brown after the deep freeze. They usually are green year round and in the spring form new leaves and drop their old leaves. They never have all brown leaves, but this has been an extraordinary cold February.

My Electrical power usage is from 600kwh a month (March) to 1600kwh a month (September) and cost ranges from $185.00 to $360.00 mo.
Gas - central heat, water heater and stovetop.

Buppies, thanks for calling off the Snow for Texas and I hope you have good news.

You guys are doing a really great job ... of turning what could be a non-political discussion, political ...

Awesome ...

Maybe I missed something? Didn’t see a single political item, and hope to keep it that way.

Good evening all. 52F for the start, clear, breezy. Windy, clear sky and high temp of 66F. Slow start, got fridge ready to remove from house and moved it out. Got bike ride in and very short nap. Fridge showed and installed no problems, ice maker works, will throw out ice in morning so lines have had an option to purge. Garage food in fridge, freezer stuff tomorrow.
