Hopefully some are learning that if you get severe cold weather - even if relatively infrequently - it might be a wise idea to cold-proof all energy generation sources that people have to rely on.

Cold proofed thermal generation is the way to go. Period. Let some people put solar on their place for their own supply.

Primary task today is get taxes filed. Actually they are done, I just want to review one more time. TurboTax passed final checks without errors, just a sanity check from me.

Good morning all, 24 going up to 35 and nice out.
Jeep brake light came on and stability control light. OBD had no events. Checked fluid, down to below min .... added 6 oz DOT and everything started working.
Leak somewhere....this thing is a money pit so far.

Eric -spring is coming! We only have about 6-8" of snow still on the ground and still melting.
Paul - buy a bigger box and create the correct size for shipping? Maybe Staples has what you need?
Kyle sounds like you and wife on way to recovery- hope you lose the symptoms soon

Snow coming tomorrow and primary snow vehicle needs brake work-not good, will need to see if can make it to garage before snow with wifes car following.

This morning was our coldest of the year at 12°, now up to 34° and sunshine. The meltdown has started.
Worship went well, although the kid leading songs gave me the list at the last minute.
Stopped by orchard and got my cherry pie and cider afterwards. Just helped get lunch in the oven.

Buckeye, mom’s hay and lease just paid for the new fence. Hoping with the leasing and selling hay she will continue to break even with the agg tax and insurance and fence Replace/repair. However hay is very variable and dependent on the amount of rainfall each year.

Don’t think he will find anyone to lease for hay, just not much call for that in the area. He did mow the fields and pastures last year, don’t think that will suffice.

What’s with the grape vines?

Just had a friend up here get word that the State will approve his ag exemption. Should have it within the next couple of weeks ... if he hasn't got it already (been a while since we've spoken)

He's going to be planting some grape vines ...

They also have chickens that they keep to produce eggs, which might factor into it as well.

Have you considered just having a conversation with the County Chief Appraiser? Our present and former Chief Appraisers are / were always open to a discussion to assist tax payers. I have an ongoing conversation with ours, regarding a potential switch from an agricultural tax valuation to a wildlife management tax valuation. They've been extremely helpful.
