Good morning, well afternoon now.... was snowing again this morning, got an additional 2 inches. Temp is now at 36, and sunny, so a good amount melting off. Highs forecasted to reach mid 50's by Saturday. Hopefully this warmer air is heading towards Texas.....
Eric, yes, I would definitely paint that wheelbarrow blue if I was restoring it. I restored one a year or two ago, it is a plastic tub and figured that blue paint wouldn't stick to it for long, so I left it black. I did make new handles for it out of white oak.... they had to be stained to show the grain of course....
Knee is doing exceptionally well as far as being able to ambulate around. It is still very swollen and I think that is restricting my range of motion. Last night I had difficulty sleeping not being able to find a position of comfort, and another "new" type of pain was making itself known and not wanting to be left out...
Seems that small issues in relation to the knee keep cropping up.... first it was the medication issue. That got resolved rather easily, only time consuming. Now an issue with Physical Therapy has cropped up... I still have yet to get a call back from the Ortho Surgeon.... all calls supposedly returned within 24 hours.... it's now 32 hours... need to make a pest of myself I guess....
RNG, I feel your frustration with the mag issue... At one time I was legally able to purchase 'extra capacity' magazines for my two .380's. Purchased 2 - 10 round mags... yes they would hold 10 shells. Only a big problem.... they would stick and cause all sorts of jamming problems on the last 3-4 shots. I gave up on trying to fx them. Now I only load them with 7 bullets and then chamber one.....
The cheapest propane exchange here is $22.95 at Walmart, $24.95 at the convenience stores. TSC charges $12 to fill a 20#. Another mile down the road, the propane company charges $8 for the same fill. They will certify an expired tank for another 5 years for $2. I had a leaky valve on one, they charged $15 to replace the entire valve assembly and certify it for 5 years.... I guess you figured out who gets the business. They are still the same owners, true mom and pop store, for the last 35 years.
The only problem with them is they are open half day Saturday, closed on Sunday. I respect that for sure... but when does a propane tank always go dry?.... yep, Saturday afternoon at 2 pm!. I got smart (eventually) and now my backup tanks have backups....
Hope everyone (except David and Sophie) (you guys get a special exemption) stays warm and dry with all of the cold weather and snow across the CONUS.
We saw the first small flock of Mountain Bluebirds out at the feeder yesterday.... usually a sign of Spring being around the corner
