Ridgid always made nice gear. They invented the modern pipe wrench.

my quiet day no longer is, landscaper coming soon to put pavers or bricks down in generator area.
So, since I have to be available, I put the heat on in the garage and I'll go build a birdhouse while they work nearby.
Already moved generator to lawn, thankfully they put big enough tires on it to deal with 235 pounds.

When it comes to cordless tools, look carefully at the variety of tools offered for the battery platform, it’s a safe bet that the companies with a broad range of tools will support that battery for a longtime, and not orphan you and your tools...
I agree...I'm limiting my battery powered tools to EGO (outdoors tools such as stringer trimmers pole saw, etc) and DeWalt. Both brands have provided me with good service. Only caveat is purchasing batteries...both EGO and DeWalt will not honor warranties if purchased from unauthorized sellers...so, gotta watch that! I almost got bit when buying an EGO 5.0 aH battery through Amazon

In regards to conversation about iPhone cameras .. I’ve found it difficult to take pictures of fog. My iPhone seems to “see” right thru it?

Actual visibility was was much less.

If you find a EGO battery for a good price it most likely will come with no warranty but that will not be advertised. Amazon has such sellers. I did get burned.
My first battery tools were Ridgid when I built my tractor shed 20 years ago I had problems with their warranty and their definition of lifetime.

Yep...I received the battery ($250.00!!) with no warranty card...planned on returning it, or requiring an EGO warranty card.
The seller offered a one year warranty for the battery...EGO provides a 3 year warranty if for residential use. The seller finally provided the EGO warranty info and I registered the battery. However, if I have any problems...somebody is getting sued!

41F with a rain shower @ 11:00, temps predicted to fall from here on out - with a chance of snow showers around 18:00. Doesn't appear that they will last long though.

Located the county vaccine web page a friend told me about the other day, got both The Woman and myself signed up ... for all the good that will do  (IOW: doesn't look like it will be any time soon) Ohio goes into Phase 1b starting Monday ... but that's only for people 80 years and up, of which there 425K - with only around 100K doses currently available. Starting on the 25th the age cutoff drops to 75 years, and then on February 1 the cutoff will drop to 70 years. The final segment for 1b will be those 65 years and older starting on Feb 8th. No info beyond that as far as scheduling goes ... :confused3:

Trip made into town and prescription picked up.

Decided to stop by Chinese restaurant on the way back and pick up a Teriyaki chicken stick on the way home, really only wanted one ... but the lady thought I said two, and I figured they'd get eaten so yeah, why not ? Thanked her for them being open and providing the good eats. The Woman ended up stopping by later on the way home and picking up some fried rice to go with hers.

Nothing on agenda for today specifically that I can recall ... but I'm sure I can find something to get into ...

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

I bought a couple Dewalt tools and a Bosch drill when 14 volts was popular. The Bosch batteries are still good. While the Dewalt tools were good. The batteries never lasted. That’s why all my battery tools are now Bosch. Not sure how long my HF Lynnx stuff will last. But so far they are holding up.

Michigan started 1b vaccine on Monday. That includes anyone over 65. Today they came out with a statement that 1c could start in May. All others may start by July.
My Dr today says he has had both of his shots. He was in 1a.
I need another MRI. Will not get it until 3 weeks after second shot.

Got my iPhone 11 just over a year ago. Couldn’t justify another $400 to get the pro, although I wanted that camera. This one has a great camera.
This pic taken in total darkness outside. IMG_2625.JPG

As far as battery tools, I still have a couple working 12v? nicad dewalt batteries for my older set of 2 drills, sawzal, circular saw.

Then I got 14v? li ion Bosch sets, drill, hammer drill, impact, circular saw, 2 or 3 chargers and at least 4 batteries. Seldom use the dewalt anymore except when I need sawzal.

I haven’t even sent this post, looked at FB, and this ad pops up. IMG_8355.JPG
