Good morning. It was 37° this morning, already 58°, and should be about 69° this afternoon. Looks like .. some rain coming mid week.

It's very sunny here and will be a nice day to get some outside work done.

We had a very small Christmas gathering, in Richmond, yesterday. We had a standing rib roast, that came out a perfect medium rare.

I got back to the ranch, just after dark last evening, to do chores and feed. Then made it almost to 9 p.m. before giving in to sleep.

Hope everyone has an excellent "Boxing Day".

Prayers to all.

BEF, falling down stairs is a good way to put an end to your life. Hang onto that banister.

You got that right!!
A stroke 20 years ago paralyzed my right side. Although I got most of my functions back, my right leg below the knees never fully healed...and, yes, I do fall down now and then. Stairs can be a *****.
So, hold on that bannister!!

Dftodd, Gypsy has the looking 'cute' down pat.
Yes she does. she didn't get to work on her training skills. But she got some shopping in. She's currently home making a mess of her rib bone that she picked out

Good morning. Grocery pick up at Walmart at 8, took breakfast home from Hardee’s. Visit from father in law, picked up prescriptions, then lunch from Cookout, great BBQ (minced pork) with Cole slaw and Texas Pete, and hush puppies with a chicken Quesadilla. I fed about half of it Gracie, way too much food, but it sure is good. Then a short nap, soon to be followed by a longer nap.

Have a good day.

It took me all of 2+ hours to clean up this place (a lick and a promise) and one neighbour. Pushed most of it with the bucket and up by the house with the back blade. Now I get to conserve energy until the next snow fall.

My old county (Don's current), Williamson county sat on Covid vaccines during Christmas break...."Because they got there before they expected them".....Local hospitals are mad, saying they could have been using them. Argh.

Working on the Beast a bit. Debating on taking some sheet metal to work, to straighten and bead blast.

Hope Santa brought you all something nice.

Ron, great picture. Sodamo's too.

Prayers for our team and our country.

22F and cloudy @ 14:15, headed up to a high of 24F for the day. Got another inch or two of snow overnight.

Temps will warm to 40F tomorrow, and 38F on Monday ... so will hold off on doing any snow removal until then.

Lots of black birds of various species hanging around at the feeders. It appears all squirrels are hunkered down in their dreys for the time being. They hit the feeder hard yesterday - almost empty, deer feeder now also empty as of this morning.

Kitchen clean up on agenda for the day ... need to get table cleared off so I can use it as a work surface.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

Good morning all, 21 going up to 33 and sunny.
Was windy here and knocked over some xmas decoration and lots of branches.
Duck with black raspberry sauce came out great with roasted brussel sprouts cut in half and topped with good olive oil and sea salt.
Texting and calling with friends and relatives not the same as visiting, but all are doing ok and BIL-SIL are recovered from Covid.

Good to see everyone doing well and RichB1 getting better.

L4N , I am severely lactose intolerant-but get by with lactose free milk, butter (just came on the market) and hard cheeses, need to be aged over 12 months to reduce lactose. Also Cabot cheese from Vermont (cheddar, monterray jack). Let me know if you want recipes etc. I am bad enough any lactose can get me a free ambulance ride.

Made potato pancakes for breakfast. Nice basic recipe, grew up with lots of Hungarian/eastern European cooking.

Some many great pictures. We had a lot of rain and flooding here, but no real damage so all good.

Stay safe and be well, and may next year be good to all of you and your families.
