Hey All! I'm updating pictures so I can update my remodel thread. It is moving slower than I'd like, but such is life. I did get my driveway paved.

I'm having a heck of a time with Leaves, can anyone point me to a killer thread on managing leaves? I do live inside the edge of ~15 acres of Hardwood trees... LOL.

Be well all,
David
I blow mine off the fence. Then chop them up with the riding mower. If not, or would take me weeks to get them contained.

This has not been a good day. I got Margaret to the day surgery place just after 7 a.m. (7:15 a.m. appointment) to have cataract surgery on her left eye. Got the paperwork done, sat and waited a relatively short time, then a nurse took her back about 7:45 a.m. and I could not go back with her. Then the lady greeting folks coming in told me I might as well go home and they’d call me when she was ready, but “it’ll be a couple of hours.” So I went home and in about 15 minutes, the nurse called to tell me that they had cancelled her surgery because her oxygen level was too low, so I went and got her.

They said her oxygen level was 80, but here at home I checked it and it was only 75. My own oxygen lever was 96, according to our own little instrument.
Now Margaret has an appointment with her pulmonary doctor the 10th of next month, but the eye surgeon told her she needed to see him sooner. So I called and his nurse assured me that he is booked solid; not a single opening before her appointment on the 10th of next month.

Margaret frequently (daily or several times a day) complains about being cold. Her hands and feet always feel cold, even though the home thermostat is set on 76. So I’m not sure what the next step might be. She says she feels just fine, as long as she’s not really active.

When Betty had oxygen levels that low I took her to emergency.

Bird, hope Betty is doing better, we all send our best wishes.
If she isn't better by now, maybe you should go to the ER. The worst they can do is send you home.

way to get more oxygen:
Get fresh air. Open your windows and go outside. ...
Drink water. In order to oxygenate and expel carbon dioxide, our lungs need to be hydrated and drinking enough water, therefore, influences oxygen levels. ...
Eat iron-rich foods. ...
Exercise. ...
Train your breathing.

I had the Surestart on the heat pump in my shop fail, the supplier sent me a replacement, no questions asked which was refreshing. Yesterday I installed the new one and tested it on generator power, it starts without any sag from the generator, which is great.

Thanks for mentioning the SureStart, Paul. Since the solar power installation, I've had trouble with voltage sags triggering bad behavior in various devices around the house. I installed a hard start capacitor kit, but it didn't help at all. I'll give the BriskHeat folks a call tomorrow and see what they have to say.

A lot of people are unfamiliar with the SureStart and consequently skeptical of the claims. I definitely was one of those. After a lot of research, and discovering that Emerson sells a rebadged version for their Copeland compressors, I bit the bullet and got one to test the claims. They definitely work.

Bird,

I hope Margaret is doing better.

Hope they are able to get whatever is going on resolved quickly.

Sorry about your problems...reminds me of this Robin Trower song...

I love Bridge of Sighs....My friend had that 8 track, and I bought "For Earth Below" LP. What a rabbit trail of videos you can watch on that link!

39 outside right now, heading to 54 today. Needs to dry out some more.

Low water pressure this AM, not sure what that is about. Need to call the plumber I guess. Just had work done a month or two ago. Sigh.

Car is totaled. Called the insurance company and did the deed. Tow truck should show sometime this AM. Sigh.

Signed off on a contract with a consulting firm for our septic issue. Looks like a new drain field is in the works. Sigh.

No local hardware big box stores are carrying flipping porch posts. Looks like a road trip is in the works. Sigh.

Hope all have a good day. Be safe.

Glad to hear the water trouble got remedied. Hope the rest of you stuff gets better fast.

The critical level is 88. Did you tell her Dr. her O2 level? Next step maybe ER?

Bird, I agree with Don, if Margaret's oxygen levels get below 80, you should take her in. Prayers for the both of you.

Tired. I had to make a proprietary metric thread to fit an expensive German pump. An M9.75 x 0.9mm. There is ZERO info on the www about that size. In fact, no standard diameter uses a 0.9 pitch. I have a nice set of thread profile gages, and that's how we managed to classify what I was making from a part that came out of it. Used my thread mic to duplicate it by thread milling in on the mill.
