Phil, very exciting you are counting down the last days. Has your wife gotten an extra large note pad
for "your list"?...

I rubbed some CDB oil on sore part of my foot, hope that does something. I think I can feel it work already.

hope you all have a great weekend

Good morning,
the temp is 40°F and going to a high of 48. Wind SW 11 mph. Cloudy with 30% chance of showers.

I might get the grass cut today, but don't hold your breath. If it doesn't get cut until next week, so be it. It will be the last cut of the season, anyway.

Stay safe all

Mostly, groundhogs are persistent. They are all over my yard now. Big fat one under my shed, more along the road bank. They even got a hole in one of wife’s flower beds under a locust stump.

Good morning! 49˚F in this valley getting up to mid 80's today.

Mostly, good luck with the gopher I had hundreds in the country. When they got into the yard I would but gray two next to their active hole and he would wait for hours for the gopher to push more sand out of the hole and then would nab him and eat him. During the summer I would set an umbrella up by the hole so Gray2 would have shade during his patient wait. Gray2 is out for hire, we can meet at the exchange place. The coyotes kept the field gophers in check, kind-of. Whipper would dig like crazy and put her nose in the hole as deep as possible, never caught one, but had fun trying.

I found some earplugs to fill the tear in the truck door weather stripping, I'll see how that works out today with the 3M adhesive. If it works I will save $147. The Whipper ramp came in yesterday so I can proceed with the repair.IMG_4019.JPG

Nice morning pic as usual Ron.

Drew, what are you going to do for food when you get to PA. Until you can get out to shop.
My SIL in VA is sending me North Saturday morning with a packed lunch and my first wife and her husband are coming to help unload the trailer
and she is bringing me dinner. Sunday morning I head down the hill to the local Giant food store to stock the fridge. Just might have to stop at McDonalds
for breakfast. I always pack granola bars and some fruit for the trips.

just spoke with my neighbor, he said he'd very happy and appreciative to take the remains of my fridge next Thursday afternoon.

Ron, great birdfeeder shot. Looks like they are standing guard.

Morning all, been a while. Hope all are well.

Things are almost settled down to a few manageable chaotic events. Very interesting developments on the farm and within the family. We are all on the same side of the planet for the first time in a few years. Getting there was quite the adventure in government bureaucracy. All I can say, it never use to be like that. Wow.

The farm, the wife, went all in on a few projects, they almost killed me. I think I am over the hump and will finish up this weekend with some grading. She fenced in an additional 20 acres and ran waterers down to the fields. Our local government got involved with that, too. Another...wow.

The front porch? LOL. I managed to finally get some decent lumber. Another...wow. Months of waiting and price. I should start laying the deck back in the AM. I have a dumpster sitting out front now and will do the final cleanup of debris and farm/household stuff today and into next week.

Fall is here, the leaves coming down reminds me it is time to close the pool. The summer went by too fast.

I sincerely hope all is well for the crew and your families. We had a rough time with Covid within ours. All seem to be doing, better.

Have a great day, a better weekend. Blessing to you all for good health and keep your spirits high!

Good evening all. 48F for the start, mostly clear, light breeze. Light to moderate wind, some high clouds, and high temp was 77F. Slow start, no fishing today, cleaned front porch and pushed dirt back in gopher hole with hose then put 5 lb stone on top of hole. Went for bike ride, then went fr walk with wife then to driving range to hit balls. Gopher moved stone then pushed dirt back out, wife saw gopher :groundhog:. Got 1 ft square concrete step then washed dirt back down hole, covered with step then stone.:punch: Next step is propane in the hole. Did get nap in.
Covid update: Cooke 463 confirmed cases, 28 active cases, Montague 189 confirmed cases, 13 active cases, Grayson 1935 confirmed cases, 71 active cases.
RS thanks for the compliment, what was the issue with your water pressure?
Roy, Thanks, the Deere should be a nice tractor and fit for you
Drew good news on your foot, hope you can resume walks soon.
Buppies thanks
Billy glad something knows what it is supposed to do :) Gopher is persistent for sure. Good to hear Coco's improvement.
Ron glad you're happy with sink draining. great pic.
Thomas when using the new rod vs old rod I had no idea how much easier the new rod is than old. I wonder if sometimes it is equipment issue that make it so hard to flyfish.
Bill they forgot the chance of fog and thunderstorms :)
Ken K(tinhack) welcome to GM
RNG good news on the air purifier, not as good news on fire, catch and release on large mouth, white bass, crappie, and catfish 14 in min.
PJ I would have answered you have reached the voice mail of the vacationing Paul ... Hope your wife has a safe trip and enjoy your vacation.
Chris very productive day. Lots of cattle feed lots in western Kansas, When you bicycle by takes a while to get away from the smell, and on first day you get to the next on before you are out of range for the last one :(
Jim sorry to hear about your nephew please pass my condolences on to his family.
RS PWCs?
Chris sorry about all that digging, but glad you found leak and no big deal
Eric wonder if dairy farms smell like feed lots? Fly rod was made by a local here and he did not charge a kidney, I think price was about $400 US.
Randy alway love the military flights
Ken K neat mods.
Dennis that is some crack, I wore shorts at 50F when I was in my 40's.
Randy great catch on the pic
prayers for all, Especially Drew/move, Jay/Peg, Kyle's daughter, Mike, RNG/fire, and Country/president
stay safe and healthy you all

Mostly .. Your hole problem sounds more like armadillos .. than gophers?

Mike, great to hear from you, we've been worried about you. Sounds like you have your hands full, but good full now.

Good morning to all! Low went to 45 last night, tonight's low forecast for 36. High today is forecasted for 77.

Waxed the tractor yesterday. Then took Max to the vet to check his ear infection, all clear for now. Hopefully it will stay that way. Ran the drip irrigation throughout the day.

Not sure what today's agenda will be. The bearings in our small utility trailer need to be replaced, so might tear into that. It also needs all new decking put down. A future project being PT boards are still hard to get, let alone the price!
As long as the bearings get replaced and the wheels don't fall off, it will do for now.

Drew, sounds like your countdown has begun the final segment. Should be smooth sailing....

Ken, glad you found the leak. Look on the bright side.... you have a lot of experience now digging up the pipe! You are now prepared and ready for the next one! .... hopefully not needed.

Ron, nice pic of the bird feeder / finches. Hope you have the time to get the drone up... would make for some nice pics of the changing colors.

Rip, welcome back. Hope all the family matters settle down. Sounds like you have been tremendously busy.

Hope everyone has a great start to the weekend!
