great pics RS
check for ticks....

Thanks.

For some reason, ticks are not that much of problem around here. Not saying we don't have them, just that they seem fairly rare.

Would probably be worse if the grass were tall ... not that I'd ever let that happen ...

... RS great progress and pics ...

Thanks ... trying to go hard at it, but I've resigned myself that everything I was hoping to get done before winter sets in probably ain't going to happen. No biggie ... just thankful for the good shot of nice weather.

I do find I'm thinking more and more about what fabrication projects I want to get done over the winter ...

RS cooler weather here slows the grass down, when highs below 70's goes dormant.

Probably the difference between cool-season grasses (what we have here) and warm-season grasses (likely what you have there):

Glad you got walk and nap in ...

well my day sure improved. My good friend with the truck and trailer now says his son wants to trade his dump trailer in for a 7x16 new covered trailer and pulling it with his nice Chevy Duramax 3/4 ton, could they come down and move my stuff for me? Oh my....what a genuinely nice thing of them to do. And my friend will baby my car while his son drives the truck and trailer.
I can wait a couple more days for them so they can come down on a Sat, the 10th and go home on Sunday and not lose time from their family business.
I'll still pay them but we sure get by with a little help from our friends...
Whew.... :dance1::drink:

Good things happen to good people! Really happy for you.

Good morning all. Two more days of dry weather to come with a high of 21C/70F, after that the rain will be here to give me a break from brick work :dance1:

Catching up on here, I read a few posts about large European churches. We live on the outskirts of a small town - Whitchurch, Shropshire - and with a name like that, it is not surprising that the skyline is dominated by a church tower. St Alkmunds is not as big as some, but is still a very impressive building. This "latest" Whitchurch church one was built way back in 1712, after the earlier one had collapsed. That does not imply any shoddy workmanship, as the original had been giving service since the year 912.

St. Alkmund’s Church – Whitchurch, Shropshire

I regularly use the church as an aiming mark, though not for shooting! The route of the footpath that crosses several of our fields is not obvious where it passes over the undulating landscape, so if I am out topping, I will cut a path to guide new walkers, the very top of the church tower showing me which way to steer the Iseki. Of course this is no coincidence, as the original purpose of many footpaths is as a direct route to church.

Great story....I believe you have a crick in your neck from mortaring the bricks, thus, a wee bit off the beaten path.

Churches last over there fairly well. Latest one is older than USA.

I wonder if they make a scythe in a cab model.

BEF and Ted, resident Tuff Torq experts. I need to do mine, it still works, but grinds fairly loud for the first 10 seconds, then it quiets down.

We have got about .95" rain so far from Beto.

Thanks for the pics!

Thanks for the prayers.

Prayers for our group, and for our our country.

51 in Greenville NC going up to 70 today, beautiful sunny day with lower winds. Latter will help me have a more pleasant
ride over to Apex, other side of Raleigh in several hours, to rv dealership. Until then, stowing things inside then have to do all the disconnecting outside.
Not too much and not too hard, got a head start on it yesterday by removing covers and putting wheel chocks away.
Up at 1:30am, wide awake, had a banana, then thankfully got several hours more sleep so looking forward to the day.

I continue to read the book Greger, How Not To Die, and only one quarter of the way through it and all I can say is it is transformative.
It is no wonder I had a stroke... I made curried chicken last night (curry is good for you) and that will be the last chicken I eat in awhile. Hardest part for me is cutting way
back on cheese, which I adore. I'm hoping the supermarket up North will have healthier choices vs down here where no one seems to care what they eat. So many easy to understand science linked references to how cancer and heart disease are caused by what we eat. If I want to live a normal healthy life after my last six months of wake up call, the solution is clear. I'm not going to become a vegan, but I sure am going to radically alter my diet. Lots of berries, lots of vegetables, lots of beans. Avoid sugar, avoid salt, avoid processed foods and store made pizza, which I already do. All throughout the book there are clear references to "if you eat this too much, say more than one time a week, you have X greater likelihood of hypertension and stroke". And if you eat this, you will reduce your chances of bad things happening by X percentage. This is not nutcase stuff, all very clearly written and credible with tons of references to case studies. I ordered a copy of the book off Amazon and sent it to my sister who likely already has it, if so she will give it to one of her sons. For Christmas I'm giving a copy to each of my siblings and close friends.
And then I will be quiet and not nag...

I owe this wake up call to two people. One is my sister, who has eaten an almost vegan diet for 40 years, and the other to Don, whose wonderful but sad story about his brother who
just would not change his diet likely caused the loss of his brother. We still laugh over my sister's first attempt 40 years ago to make a home made healthy apple pie. The crust turned out like concrete and none of us could cut it, to much amusement at the table. I ate it anyway, I love pie...now I just have to learn how to bake them myself in a healthy manner.

Most of us are ignorant of what our diet is doing to us. But we are not stupid, we can learn and change. Particularly a bright bunch like us! ;)

Hope you all have a good day and I'll report back in tonight as to how the day went.

First cup of coffee cooling. 41° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 76° with partly cloudy skies. Garden Pond look good after a good vacuuming. Going to get edger out and do walkways and driveway edges today.
Wish I could rotate my neck 180° either direction.

Drew, good news on helpers. I ordered the book in Audible. Since you do not have a dishwasher in your RV. Have you tried using Dawn Power Wash.

RS, there is always time to get it all done next year.

Mostly, I would have gotten the Samsung. But they did not have one in stock at Sam's Saturday.

Don, hope they figure out why rain amount is not accurate.

David, would a trail cam get you a picture?

Everyone be healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.
