Rswyan, glad you didn’t get seriously hurt. Be careful.
Bella gets excited when my stepdaughter comes home, but not so much with my wife...
Now, when I come home, it's like I've been gone for years! Tail (stubby as it is) waggin'...she just doesn't know which end she wants petted first...lots of licking! For a senior dog, she sure acts like a puppy!
Bird - glad fridge is fixed-still did not fix leak on mine, maybe this weekend.
Glad you got a decent tech, Bird. You should definitely hold onto Miguel's card.
RS I shinned myself on the bucket the other day, maybe we need to paint them yellow!
Drew glad to hear all around - hopefully you will have better luck with veggies than I have- Strange, I can grow flowers, trees, bushes etc. but tomatoes always seem to get very few....
Ken, I was losing a lot of tomatoes to bottom rot and learned that they need calcium and magnesium to prevent that. Once I started using this, tomatoes were great.
Have read that trick is to add fertilizer to tomatoes until the fruits show, and then stop, as too much fertilizer promotes vine growth but not tomato production.

I cut the corner going around my YELLOW rear blade earlier this year, Ken, and took a small chunk out of my leg when it hit a bolt. Maybe something more fluorescent is in order. Or, maybe one of those bicycle flags.
sister sent me a pic saying that microclimate down near ocean at Muir Beach has been keeping their air reasonably clean, not something one can say for rest of California
They have an air quality sensor a quarter mile from their home and she checks it daily, plus runs four HEPA air cleaners constantly.

Good morning all. A brisk 61 out now going up to 79. Long pants going on this morning for sure particularly because today is my last chemo day and
hvac so cold in hospital I'm always shivering. Flash flood watch posted for Thursday into Friday, 3 to 5 inches of rain, or more, from this slow moving system.
PBJ made and packed away with an apple, Kindle charged and filled with a couple of new books, though I'm feeling a little tired this morning and maybe will just sleep
a bit today. Between the pillow, blanket and reclining chair, naps are in order. The challenge is after a few hours of constant fluids going in, well....they want to get out, so there is a constant procession of infusion patients to bathroom nearby.
And when I get home this afternoon hope to get call from next older brother who will have inspected my new home this morning and with luck he will give a thumbs up. I trust his judgment, he doesn't hesitate to find problems and has thumbs downed several so far.
Landlord sent me a nice note several days ago after I expressed my concern, after two date pushbacks that I'd have a place to stay:
Do not worry! I will get in touch with your brother as soon as I can and I will make sure everything will be in good shape for you by the time you get here.
Seems like a very nice positive attitude. I haven't been "home" since May 11 and am really looking forward to this.
Mostly, yowsa, that's one fast boat. Have to be very careful and skilled at that speed though most of these really fast boats, stepped hulls or not, have deep v bottoms which keep them stable. Rule of thumb for fuel burn is ten percent of horsepower of one engine, those monster engines must have really big fuel lines...am guessing at top speed that Cigarette is sucking down a bit more fuel than "the rule". At least fuel is cheap now, relatively, though I bet those engines take super premium.
I have to admit I'm perfectly happy at 12-15 knots...time to see and dodge crab pots and logs in water
Hope you all have a nice day.
A fine morning this morning and home relatively early with only a minor headache, and tinnitus buzzing away.
Made last doc appointments for Oct 7th and then will be headed North shortly thereafter. They want to do another PET scan, EKG and labs before I go.
All good.
RS, ouch! So sorry that happened and glad nothing too badly injured. I hope you chewed out that blade for jumping out and grabbing you! Not much give in that steel...
Your plantings are just lovely.
Happy Days. My brother said Solebury house was one for me, and I confirmed with landlord I wanted it.
What a load off my mind. And it's actually a 2 bedroom (small...) plus living room so I'll have place for guests. No steps, washer/dryer in large (...) basement so I have storage down there and there is power in the garage. Plus Comcast cable run to house for high speed internet. The whole place is a little old and tired but I think it will fix up just fine. Plus that huge back yard will be put to use growing veggies and flowers in the Spring. I don't even have a trowel left; all my garden tools were sold. I think I'll build raised gardens, with landlord's permission so I don't have to deal with rototillilng. I'm back in the land of rocks...
rain starting at 11pm tonight, already very cloudy out, and continuing rain until Sat morning. I have to go out in it for doc appt Friday morning, will definitely need a rain slicker.
