74 going to 88, probably more storms...got 2.2" yesterday...ground quite soggy...we've gone from famine to feast in a week.
PJ, I'd like to look at that painting every morning when I get up. Real nice job by your wife.
Mostly, catching any fish is fun.
Rick, you've been a busy beaver on those trees. I always think about how in Texas you use burn piles, whereas up north (and right here) I save everything of any size to burn in the woodstove in winter. Only done one burn pile and it was small. But I do pile brush and small limbs over dead pine logs to build brush piles. I guess if I didn't have the space, or was living in a dry area with wildfires, I'd burn it instead.
Speaking of wildfires, lightning hit barely off our property up the road in yesterday's storm, 5 to 10 minutes before any rain arrived. I went to look for fire, but didn't see any and then it rained over 2 inches.
Things went great at the dentist...until I tried to start he truck...I noticed when we left home that the engine starting sounded weak. Fortunately, I was only a block from the auto parts store, so walked over and bought a replacement...not the battery I would have picked if I was out shopping, but it did the job. Carrying it a block back to the truck wore me out. I could tell I've lost some strength since the gym closed in March. Then I had to pick my wife up where I'd dropped her off at the grocery store, hoping her frozen items were still cold.
Forgot to post this snake pic yesterday from my hike at the park...I've nicknamed a number of places in the park where I often hike, but needed a nickname for this spot...now called Copper Hill. First copperhead I've seen in over 5 years.
