Good Morning!!!! 69F @ 4:45AM. Sunny. High 94F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
That's quite a roller coaster ride, MFW, kinda makes my exploits seem tame by comparison. I like your approach for the future, FWIW, but then I'm probably the last person from which you should consider relationship counseling:laughing:
Glad things are settling down for you, Drew. Some states will issue a title and registration with a simple payment. The names of them escape me at this time, but google is your friend. The Harley under the cover should have been a clue about the loud neighbors. And you'll only be able to fill the propane tank to 80% capacity, so take that into account when you try to figure how long a bottle will last.
Even with slow fishing, Bruce, it beats workin' for a living... Glad you diagnosed the trolling motor problem.
At least it was a dead rat, Don...
I couldn't even make Paint-By-Numbers look like the box cover, Paul. Your wife has more artistic talent in her pinky than I have in my whole body! Good to see progress on the giant landscaping project, too!
Every time Apple ratchets up security, David, they seem to have not thought it through very well...:muttering:
Smog inspection was a bust yesterday. First guy demanded he drive van into inspection bay, so I politely declined and left. The last person I let drive it broke the gates off the shifter linkage. Called a few other shops, ended up with one that had never seen a Subaru conversion and was stumped as to how to proceed. No charge, but no registration, either. Have a call into the SMOG referee, supposed to call back sometime in the next three to five days, and if they miss me, I have to start over again. In the mean time, I have some homework to do to better understand what happens next. Bank visit was a waste, too. As soon as I told the teller I wanted to close my accounts, she pointed me over to a "personal banker" bank of waiting chairs where I spent the next half hour waiting. Had a noon appointment at the new bank to arrange for a safe deposit box, and had to walk out to not be late. So I'll close things down with BofA next week, and be even happier to be rid of them. I did get the brackets and boards for the shelf, and got it cut up and installed last night after I got home. Also grocery shopped in Paradise, enjoying the very fresh produce they had, but not so much the limited selection of a smaller store. Drove by the big Safeway sign that still stands next to the cleared off concrete pad where the giant grocery store once stood before the Camp Fire burned it down, and several other still vacant lots as well. Still a long way to go for that place to be even close to recovered.
Back on the firetruck this morning, sanding and priming the inspection hatch on top, maybe painting it, too. Maybe some homework this afternoon after it gets hot, but I'd like to get a WiFi antenna mounted up in the attic if it's not too hot up there...
