Good morning!!!!

Chipping's done. My neighbor had as much trouble getting the PTO driveshaft (tractor end) on as I do. Real PITA!! I've had several implements over the years...never had the problems I've had with this one.
I think I'm going to take it to my local dealer and have the coupler replaced...have the shaft shortened a couple inches too. It's not to long now, but I think a couple inched shorter would be better
Chipping went great...pretty good sized pile. Neighbor did all the work and I sat on the grass. After his was done, I had a small pile too, so I got that. I think I mentioned I have some more trimming to do (and chipping) but the heat is setting in so it's not going to be today

Good Morning!!!! 78F @ 4:15AM. Sunny. High 104F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph.

Goodness, you all have been busy! Sounds like hot weather dominates, no surprise there with it being July and all.

Congrats on the topsoil windfall, David!

Glad you found a way to get the glue off, Mike!

Hope the new meds work for Coco, Billy.

Good luck nailing the details down for your escape, Drew. PITA to have to buy stuff that was sold off, but now you have a second chance for improvements.

497 CV19 cases county wide, 4 dead, currently with a 4.7% positivity rate among those being tested.

Beautiful weather in the mountains, with highs in the upper 80s and cool 50s for sleeping. Though a noisy campground made that a bit difficult, and after two nights, it was time to come home. Got in some very good riding in between, some of the best roads in Northern California, with good buds for company. Home yesterday in time for lunch, unpacked, took a nap.

Got the decking lifted up on the firetruck and was able to see the cover on the tank, must be a hundred bolts holding it in place. Hope to get an early start on it this morning; the steel was too hot to touch yesterday afternoon. Got in another nap before dinner, no wonder I'm up so early this morning.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

Nice picture. Sounds like a nice ride. I miss riding.

I was wondering if you could remove the tank, if rusted too badly, and replace it with some of those caged 250 gallon totes? Make you a frame and load them up. You could make them removable, for whatever reasons.

Another trip around the sun today. Wifey made me decaf pecan praline with chocolate. Yummy. Getting ready for church.

Prayers for all....Ron, Buppies, Drew, our Country. Hope the new meds work for Coco.

In this heat, really wonder whether single a/c unit in rv will keep up, some shade sounds good.

There are a few threads out there where people have jerry rigged window A/C units to work in their Vanagons, Drew, but it seems to me that one of the portable units would be more powerful and easier to adapt to a roll down window. Found this article that is a general intro to portable/RV A/C, and this Amazon link that shows a variety of what's on the market.

Might be helpful info to keep in your back pocket in case your roof A/C can't keep up with the hot summer sun.

Drew, friend of mine got a portable A/C unit for his motor home from Costco. Works very well in his 33’ RV. Oh wait, it is our TBN friend, WroughtonHarv. $350.

Yesterday morning was particularly nice, Kyle. Hit the road at about 8:30, headed south and downhill into brisk but still mountain air. Got to a T intersection and had to choose between riding into the sun or having it at my back, the sunny way leading past a mediocre restaurant and another hour to get home. I went right, and enjoyed an empty road, most of which was in super smooth condition that twisted its way up and over the mountain, under shady trees and over a giant green suspension bridge near the end. Even the iPod was cooperating. It was on auto play, but somehow managed to pick two versions of Little Wing, the original Hendrix, and a few songs later, another from Clapton. Everything else seemed to fit the mood and the road as well, and by the time I hit town I felt very lucky to live in an area with such spectacular riding opportunities. The little cafe in Oroville I like was open and there seemed to be an open table outside, but I wasn't very hungry and didn't feel like company, having just endured two days of it:irked:.

Sure hope I don't need to replace the tank; looking up at it from underneath it's a rusty plumber's nightmare of pipes into and around it. Seems like there are several main stream sealants out there that would work to capture the rust and fix any leaks, if anybody has good experience with one I'd sure appreciate some guidance.

Congrats on making another trip around Ol' Sole; birthdays are nice but these days I wish they didn't come so often...

71°F and .10 inches rain.

Have to make a dump run today from my container clean out.

Might start on round of flail mowing. Might have to do a bit of research on our grasses. Doubt any are lawn variety, but pasture and range grasses which have local names.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
