Good Morning!!!! 78F @ 4:15AM. Sunny. High 104F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph.

Goodness, you all have been busy! Sounds like hot weather dominates, no surprise there with it being July and all.

Congrats on the topsoil windfall, David!

Glad you found a way to get the glue off, Mike!

Hope the new meds work for Coco, Billy.

Good luck nailing the details down for your escape, Drew. PITA to have to buy stuff that was sold off, but now you have a second chance for improvements.

497 CV19 cases county wide, 4 dead, currently with a 4.7% positivity rate among those being tested.

Beautiful weather in the mountains, with highs in the upper 80s and cool 50s for sleeping. Though a noisy campground made that a bit difficult, and after two nights, it was time to come home. Got in some very good riding in between, some of the best roads in Northern California, with good buds for company. Home yesterday in time for lunch, unpacked, took a nap.

Got the decking lifted up on the firetruck and was able to see the cover on the tank, must be a hundred bolts holding it in place. Hope to get an early start on it this morning; the steel was too hot to touch yesterday afternoon. Got in another nap before dinner, no wonder I'm up so early this morning.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

need to replace battery in Iphone SE. Was totally dead this morning.
20 bucks online including needed tools. Appears about 5-10% of batteries are defective from start,
clearly some quality control issues here on what I'm sure are Chinese batteries.
Going to call Verizon Wireless this afternoon, where I bought phone,
and ask what they would charge to replace
battery. If under 50 bucks will do that, more than that, will give it a try myself.
Watched two videos on it, doesn't seem too hard.
Store hours at Verizon are either restricted or the stores have closed.

Did my laps around hallway, got my heart pumping a little, feels good.
Now looking at windshield sun screens and fan vent insulators for rv; rig will have no shade and figure I'd better do what I can to insulate it.
Assisted living folks will think I'm nuts when all these Amazon packages show up...but easier on me this way, just make a couple of trips over to campground.
with back seats folded down, compact suv holds a good bit. Ordered bankers boxes online, they will come in next few days and I can start packing process.

found a thread here about what to watch on Youtube. Got some very interesting ideas, most of us want to watch either how to/learn something videos or things on farming.
I found one on rv topics, that was helpful.

That cherry pie picture did look delicious. We were going to make homemade black raspberries ice cream yesterday, but didn’t since we stopped for ice cream.

We hit 99° yesterday,

I have song leading at worship today. Then will order some takeout for lunch.

The area above Gettysburg is full of apple orchards everywhere, with several apple processing plants. Very pretty area, I might consider retiring there. We only live 45 minutes away but don’t go enough. The battlefield was packed with cars and people, was nice to see people getting out.
The subs we got were great.
High rock had been hit by lots of graffiti. It’s just off the AT. Last time I had been there I hiked up on the AT in the snow. The drive is easier. IMG_5967.JPG

95 outside this AM. Need some rain...heat index yesterday was 107. Today...same expected.
Return to scraping today. Got THREE quarters done before arms gave out. No fun working on ladder either.

Nice pics RNG and Ron. That was great you got some rain, Buppies

Have a great day all.

79F and partly cloudy @ 09:00, gonna be a hot one today.

Upside is that the weather guessers are calling for heavy thunderstorms to move through the area between 18:00 and 22:00. The rain will be very welcome.

Slept like a log last night, no cramps ... will make sure to hydrate good today and take my mineral tabs ... :D

Hawks have been squawking quite a bit since late yesterday afternoon ... not sure what that's all about. Need to get suet feeders hung out, don't think I got it done yesterday.

Hope to get the barn owl boxes all tacked, glued, and screwed today ... but need to go to Menards to pick up the order which has the screws in it. Thankfully, all the assembly can be done inside where it's cool. This guy showed up yesterday while I was working:

Also need to do the cross cuts for the plywood shelves for the shelving units and then get the saws and compressor moved inside before the rain gets here.

Got all the white worms fed before I went to bed last night. Also checked the red worms I got a while back and they are still alive ... so might try and get the box for them set up today. Maybe do some work on the fish.

Beyond that, I hope to see if I can't wrangle a haircut out of The Woman ... :D

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day.

Young Sandhill Crane has grown a lot since May picture. Not sure it can fly. It and it's parents walked from across road.

Nice ...

Good luck with getting trap all set up.

RS, why would the attic fan shut off at 89°? :confused3:

I'm guessing that's how I set the controls up.

IIRC, there was a choice to set it to come on/go off either based on temp or humidity - and I think I set it up for temp ... and at a lower (if not the lowest) setting ...

:confused3:

Never been Gettysburg BEF thanks for pictures

Great place to visit!!
If I were you, I'd start at Harper's Ferry, then north on Route 15 and stop at Antietam...then north again on 15 and tour Gettysburg.
When we went, we lived in York PA, hit Gettysburg first, then south on 15 to Antietam, then to Harper's Ferry
