good morning all.
74 going up to 92 today, not much change.

almost all my unhappy health issues have been caused by dehydration, and I never knew it. Drinking a whole pot of coffee each day sure didn't help.
Now seem to be fine drinking decaf though sure more sluggish in morning. As long as I keep peeing and the color is light, figure I'm ok. When urine gets dark, body
is talking to you.

neither of the apartments in PA have central air, and both will allow me to put in window units. But then I studied the pictures on one and it had swing out windows in bedroom, a/c isn't going to fit in that... My SIL is going to inspect, a deal killer if no a/c. I have hay fever/allergies and can't leave windows open so really need good a/c.
As a tenant, no desire to pay for knocking hole in wall to put in through wall unit. But if landlord will allow, that might be a last alternative.

waiting for oncologist in PA to confirm he will take over my care for last one or two infusions. If not, will move rv to local campground and despite family objections will
move there in two weeks. Feeling pretty good last few days. Three more infusions to go, half way through. Wondering about cumulative effect but feel confident I can handle it. Having problems with assisted living confirming what meds I'm on, have no confidence in them anymore, which considering how much they are getting paid, is not good.
Plus I've never seen any staff member sanitize anything here, unlike the hospital. Have my vacate letter all typed up, ready to give them tomorrow, with two weeks notice.

Jay, hope you are doing better at home.
Eric, I was taught to glue and screw in high school shop and have done so ever since. Today's glue is stronger than the wood.
Phil, I can hear your wallet go ouch from here but you'll be glad when it's done.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 69° with rain this morning. Heading to 80° with continued rain. .3" rain so far. Got window washed yesterday. Then played with drone. Took some pictures of barn. But forgot to take the one that looks best. If weather gives me a chance. Will do that later today. Chopped up a few tree leaves with drone yesterday. Tree and drone survived.
Was checking how well I did with window cleaning and caught this deer finding out rodent was in it's way. Little out of focus.

Jay, special prayers and best wishes for you and Peg.

Drew, sure is interesting to see what house price are in different area's for the country. My neighbors put their place on the market yesterday. More work than a young couple, working and with a baby have time to do. There are days that I agree with them. Bought my place in 1972 for $38k. If sold it would be 10 time that.

:welcome: to GM Frankenkubota. Hope your recovery continues.

Wngsprd, I follow same water plan every morning. Plus 8 oz of cranberry juice.

RS, ordered a sparrow trap yesterday. Hope it works. Be careful working out in the heat.

Don, you be careful also. Working in the heat.

Eric, follow the leader. Surprised they didn't do more damage.

Riptides, I waited too long for comet. It is at 10° from horizon. I live on side of a hill. With trees my view is very limited.

Everyone be healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good morning 67 going up to 82 and partly cloudy- felt nice taking the dog for a walk last night-first time in a while it wasn't too hot

My dog is having a great time with the frogs which are coming out in droves after the last rain! Soon we will have frog ground cover to replace the grass :)

Time to mow the side yards today while the weather is nice and finally use the pool after a 2 week hiatus.

Ron - love the pose - the deer looks like it's trying to figure out what it's looking at.

Gotta go to work.
Stay safe and be well

Good Morning!!!! 68F @ 5:15AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 99F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph.

:welcome:Frankenkubota. Dehydration is a great way to end up with kidney stones. DAMHIKT. Now I start every morning with two 16 oz. glasses of water at breakfast, and keep it going through lunch and dinner. I avoid caffeine whenever I can. Drew is on the money when it comes to urine color, just need to pay attention.

Decaffeinated still has caffeine in it, Drew. Just less of it. Sounds like a plan is coming together, though. One step at a time, you'll get there!

Good list, Eric. I gave up on nails when carpal tunnel had me throwing hammers, and always hated slotted screw heads. Drywall and deck screws, along with the battery powered impact gun to drive them, are the best things since sliced bread! Still need to sort the slotted screws out of the junk drawers, though. That'll take a substantial round tuit, though.

By now, Billy, Coco's probably smart enough to expect a pill inside any new food you give her. But with so many pills, how do you keep her guessing without over feeding her?

Hope you can stay ahead of the remodeling snowball, Phil. 83 days'll be over in a flash!

Butte county keeps piling up the CV19 cases, with another 21 added yesterday. Now well over 400 to date.

That's a lot of bears, Buppies!

It's a jungle out there, RS!

I couldn't find the comet with my naked eye either, Mike. After sunset, try looking under the Big Dipper with a set of binoculars. That's how I found it.

The property taxes people pay these days are another reason so many are acting so crazy!

Felt great to get back on a motorcycle yesterday morning! But I'm glad I called ahead to the BMW dealer; they had to order the parts I needed. Since the old man died, that's happening a lot now. Guess they can't afford to tie a lot of money up in inventory anymore. Called ahead to Tractor Supply, too, and guess what? They couldn't find what I needed, even though their web site said they had it in stock. The bigger store in Oroville had one in hand, so that's where I went. Shorter trip, too, but not a good place to spend time in, just too many sketchy characters hanging around.

RG got a workout blowing dirt and dust off the driveway when I got back, then worked on packing for the trip. In six months I've gotten out of practice and things have drifted from where they should be, so it took more than the usual fifteen minutes. Thank goodness for lists!

Our host for the campout is planning to feed us dinner each evening, but the rest is catch as catch can. Not sure what the restaurant situation will be, but there's a large deli in the supermarket in town that will likely get a lot of my business. And there's always cheese'n'crackers and jerky in the saddlebags.

FedEx says they delivered a package, at the front door, yesterday. Only trouble is my front door is a quarter mile behind a locked gate, and I know the driver didn't walk down here because there's nothing on the porch. I think that FedEx may have actually delivered it to the post office, who will then put it in the parcel box up at the road. Now if I could just get the newest post person to actually lock the box...

The UPS person gets it right every time, they left a new UPS in it yesterday. Hooked it up to the stove, and now when the A/C starts up, the propane doesn't shut off. The UPS looks a little funny balanced on the back of the stove, though. It wouldn't fit underneath. Might have to rig up some kind of shelf for it to sit on.

Found enough dirt under that stove to clog up the vacuum cleaner. Emptied and blew out the dust catcher, and vacuum still wouldn't suck. Downloaded the owner's manual and learned there's a thermal sensor in there somewhere, and after it cooled down for a while it worked fine. Glad I didn't start prying things apart like one of the Youtube "experts" was doing...

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!:cool2:

70°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 89° today. We finally got some rain yesterday evening. A storm was rolling in as I was driving home from work, and it was moving so fast it almost caught me. I got home just in time to walk down to the road and bring back the trash can, amidst a flurry of lightning and thunder. Got in the house about 30 second before the skies opened up. We went through two relatively quick lines of storms, neither of which lasted very long, but both containing high winds and lots of lightning. The dogs were less entertained by it than I was. Saw some friends posting on Facebook pictures of damage in the Alton IL area, a couple of buildings now missing roofs and privacy fences. We didn't even lose any tree limbs this time. After the storms had passed and the sun was going down, everything looked orange outside.

We use pill pockets as well, Buppies. Always works like a charm.

Welcome to the GM thread, Dave.

Good morning to all! Low of 52, only going for a high of 88. 30% chance of a t-storm. Cloud cover in place this morning, so temps won't go up into the 80s until afternoon.

The town trip for errands was successful! Got everything needed including an elevated frustration level.... I had to go cross town... OH MY! People had forgotten how to drive! Everything from daydreaming and sitting stopped at green lights, taking what seemed like 5 minutes to turn a corner, some going wayyy over the speed limit, others driving half the speed limit. Plus, a whole lot more.... I couldn't wait to "get outta town".

When I got home, I told the wifey " I know what is happening to all the drivers in town... at our elevation, the oxygen is thinner to begin with... no that everyone is wearing masks, it has limited their normally low oxygen intake causing more freakin brain cells to die" OK, rant over....

I think I will just stay up here in the mountains unless absolutely necessary!

Drew, sounds like you are getting a plan together, but don't move too fast... take care of yourself first, no need to add any stressors right now.

RNG, have a safe ride this weekend. Double check those lists, you don't want to get there and and say "aww nuts... I forgot...." You know Mr Murphy is watching.... Are you going out on the BMW you were riding last year?

RS, nice property.

Ron, another good pic... the deer looks puzzled, the dirt rodent couldn't care less!

Eric, I am amazed the flock broke through that gate! That must be some tasty grass!

Today will encompass making dog food this morning, then maybe get to sort some RC stuff.

Everyone have a great day!

Dehydration is a great way to end up with kidney stones.

just spent half an hour going over my meds with a new health tech here, feel much better, nothing is getting missed.
one drug Phosnak made me scratch my head, looked it up, aha, used to prevent getting kidney stones.
Since I had been dehydrated, guess they weren't taking any chances
but once done chemo and with my new found appreciation for drinking more fluids, that's one pill I can stop...

Forgot, we had a brief, almost dry t-storm come through, kicking up some strong downdrafts. We have been having trouble with borers doing damage to our locust trees. Apparently, they weakened / damaged one of the biggest ones right at the base. The wind snapped it right off about 4" from the ground. So cleanup of the tree will be needed today.

My old urologist (he's now retired, and I don't plan on replacing him) had me on a diuretic after the last procedure to remove stones. The idea was to keep enough water moving through my system that the concentration of stone forming elements in the urine would be reduced to levels so low no stones would precipitate. It worked, but left me with that feeling of urgency all the time. I reasoned that as long as I was drinking the same amount of water at regular intervals, I really didn't need any help from a drug. He agreed, and I've been stone free for a few years now. I shoot for a half gallon of water a day, not counting evening barley pops.:2cents:
