RNG, have a safe ride this weekend. Double check those lists, you don't want to get there and and say "aww nuts... I forgot...." You know Mr Murphy is watching.... Are you going out on the BMW you were riding last year?

I spent a LOT of time in Albuquerque on business, and agree that an unfortunate number of the drivers there make it a dangerous place to be on a street. Even made a couple of motorcycle trips there, and it was like a competition to see who could kill me first.

My lists are good, but I seem to always forget at least one thing. And sometimes more. I've forgotten medication, tool kits (that was yesterday), tent poles, and even a passport (didn't really want to go into Canada that trip, anyway). Wonder what it'll be this time?:laughing:

This was taken last fall in the little town of McKitrick, home of one of the largest oil fields in California. My friend Dave and I had just spent one of the coldest nights camping that we could remember, on top of a mountain to the south. So cold, a leaking canteen left on the picnic table made a solid icicle that reached the ground in the morning. We were supposed to spend two nights there, but when I stuck my head out of the tent that morning, everyone in camp was almost packed and ready to leave, including the guy that was supposed to feed us. I usually don't drink coffee, but that morning I had several cups just trying to thaw out!

69°F and .20 inches rain.
A very special day as my girl Kalani turned 13, our oldest boxer ever. I’ll have to make her a special treat with that local ground beef.

Got my golf cart back in service yesterday.

Today I’ll start moving stuff from the 20ft container to the cleaned up tractorshed. Trick will be how to organize so what’s needed is accessible at appropriate time. This had been secondary storage for almost 15 years and has been thoroughly cleaned out maybe twice in that time.

88F and partly cloudy @ 13:00. Feels like temp is 93F, 70% chance of a thunderstorm. "Severe Storm Risk" alert issued.

Just woke up about an hour ago ... which is probably a pretty good indication that yesterday's activities kicked my butt ... :laughing:

Still formulating what direction to go, but it's a safe bet that it's probably going to be mostly an inside/light day ...

Ahhh, kidney stones. I’d hesitate to wish on my worst enemy. Had mine in 1968, I was only 21. Urologist said they would be reoccurring. When I was in the Army hospital in Japan 6 months later a fellow patient was being forced to drink beer for his. Seemed like a reasonable prescription and I’ve been stone free over 52 years.

The pain is truly indescribable.

With beer and diuretics though, you get the added risk of - gout.

Funny how you must maintain that balance of fluids and chemicals so it all doesn't - impact you know, or catch you later.

got third good apartment prospect in PA, really surprised these are popping up, all from my brother's email blast to hundreds of accounting clients.
I have to have him or several friends up there go check them out for me, I can't get up there for at least a month,at the least. But rents are reasonable enough
I'd pay to lock them in.
