Good Morning!!!! 72F @ 7:30AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 102F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
People are going crazy, K5lqw, and not just from CV19 related stress. It's the heat, it's the inflammatory and divisive media, negative influences everywhere you turn. And with all the shut downs and stay-at-home orders, there's no where to turn. At least the police have a line on that guy, but probably not a bad idea to practice situational awareness and be ready in case something untoward unfolds.
I don't find it surprising that CV19 can survive and even be transmitted between animals, Kyle. After all, it started in bats. And I wouldn't be surprised if people caught it from their pets, either. Might help to explain some of the "community" transmission we're seeing.
Forgot all about the delayed tax deadline, having filed this year the day before the postponement was announced. Glad it's done, and the interest on what I owed wouldn't have amounted to a hill of beans, anyway.
I was on Niacin for a while, Drew, but never got used to the hot flashes like my PC said I would. I was also taking fish oil until some well supported studies showed it had no positive effects. I feel that the fewer medications I can get away with, the fewer chances for negative interactions, or as was the case with Zantac, newly discovered ties to cancer. Glad you were able to help your Audi dealer stay in business. I just hope you don't have to carry them single handed.
Sounds like work like that might be better off taken in small doses anyway, Mike. Still gets done, just takes more days.
Glad to hear Coco is improving, Billy, and wish her a rapid recovery.
Haven't heard much about the rolling stairs, Rick. You all done with 'em?
We have an expert tunneler in our midst, Ken. Paging David to the white courtesy telephone...
Good to hear from you David (moss flower). Nice to read you're doing OK, and good luck with the horse trading!
Sounds like a nightmare, Jay, but one you've made it through. Hope you and Peg can get back to normal soon. Even though normal these days seems quit unlike anything I've known before...
Sounds like you had fun doing your father-in-law a favor, Randy. Keep up the good work!
Had a good day yesterday. Gravel guy was right on time, and passed the final inspection on the solar power system. Now just need approval from PG&E, the local utility, before the final tuning of the control system and can start selling excess power back to them. Got the road base I'd spread consolidated to the upper part of the parking apron, but ran out of cool to start spreading the new stuff on the lower section. Worked on draining gas and hooking chargers up to bikes that won't get ridden for the rest of the summer, and got my ride for the weekend running. Turns out I robbed the battery hold down straps from that one, so I'll get to drop by the dealership today for replacements. Haven't seen 'em in quite a while, so it'll be interesting to see how they're doin'.
The hummers are reminding me that their feeders are empty, and I need to make up a new batch of nectar. I'll probably ride that bike to town as a shake down, and want to do it before it gets much warmer. So it's time to kick off another Hump Day...
