Good morning 70 going up to 91- sunny and feels like the dog days of August already.
Didn't get much free time yesterday but finally got the spacers on, 2" on either side. Don;t have a lathe so used a dremel square cutter and router head. Not fun but worked.

Stay Safe and be well!

And why was need for Dremel and cuttrers... My Bro-Tech spacers went on my GC 1715 without any problem took all of 30-45 minute total to do complete install.... Only issue I found after setting first lug bolt (spacer to axle flange) was don't let lip of socket extend past head of bolt... Put spacer in socket to keep bolt protruding more and socket does not bind in spacer...

Good morning all.

High today supposed to hit 88F, already 80F @ 10:30 and very sunny. Dewpoint is sitting at 64F, so it's going feel hot and muggy.

Second order of business this morning will be to give the blueberry bushes a drink of vinegar water (2 tablespoons to the gallon) May incorporate a MirAcid feeding into that as well while I'm at it.

When I was pulling thistle the other day I noticed a small nest had been built at the base of the northernmost blueberry plant. It had three small eggs in it. They looked like house sparrow eggs, but I never saw the owner so can't say for sure - so need to monitor to see if I can identify ... before I decide to destroy it.

Need to run out to the Kubota dealer and pick up those seal kits which I had forgotten about. Also run by Home Depot to pick up a couple of orders. Got notification that one was ready ... still waiting on notification on the other, which was actually placed before the one which they reported as being ready now. Be interesting to see how long it takes them to get it pulled - it's only six items, nothing particularly uncommon or out of the ordinary, easily fit into a medium plastic bag.

I think I've mentioned before that I've had some issues with getting orders placed online for pickup filled in a timely manner from this particular Home Depot. They're gonna be in a world of hurt if Menard's decides to put up a store close to them.

Might try to get a couple of nest boxes finished up today, have some wood that needs painted as well as soon as I get the Xylene for thinner from the Depot. Also fix drain valve on compressor ... if I can remember to grab a new brass ferrule from up in the shop, next time I'm up there.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day.

... My first chainsaw was a Stihl 031, and a couple years after I got it, the dealer told me parts were getting hard to come by. I ended up selling it to a fellow who's 031 had been stolen, no doubt he was hoping I was the thief. ...

That reminds me - I really need to call one of the local dealers, now that I've located the original receipt for my 031 that has the serial number on it ... :D

RS Thanks, I spend time with some guys that put some big miles in.

RS can't believe you did not already grease the reworked cylinder.

Yup - should have done it first thing when I put the cylinder back on (before the line on the compressor broke)

OTOH, it still has the old pins in it, and I haven't curled/dumped the bucket but a couple of times since ... and never with it loaded with anything heavy.

RS hopefully get garage under control soon.

It's coming ... but then so is Christmas ...

$39 for spacer + $18 for lugs. Lugs had enough room for me to get socket on, no problem.

Doctor's appointment went OK..
BP is low, so I'll be dropping one of the two meds I currently take..per the doc's instructions
Also, since I had all my remaining teeth pulled, I've lost 25 lbs. Just little appetite ...
Getting some blood work done as well...
So, went to work...

Nice goin', Ken.

But now it's time to dish on the spacers.

Who made them?

Why did you put them on your tractor?

Inquiring minds want to know!
