Good morning!!!!

A crystal clear 36ºF for today's low temperature. The NWS has issued a Special Weather Statement for elevated fire risk for today. The skies have remained clear all day and the temperature maxed out at 75ºF. The breeze today kept the blackflies from swarming this old O+ blood bank. I managed to mate the tiller's PTO shaft to the tractor's PTO stub without too much difficulty and with no loss of blood nor skin (some bruising). It looks like I'll be tilling the garden in the near future. No one plants around here until around Memorial Day.

Dennis- Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Mike- I am glad the maple branch missed you and/or the grill.

Kyle- I am surprised that that poor woman survived that long on a ventilator without lung muscle atrophy.

Bruce- Congratulations on the largemouth. I gave up on fishing after a large overgrown minnow (i.e. tarpon) caught me while I was fly fishing on/in a 1 man fishing kayak off a mangrove swamp in FL near Sanibel. I had no control and a Nantucket "sleigh-ride" for its efforts. I was not saddened when it broke off.

Ken- Fishing no longer relaxes me. We really like going to Mt. Greylock and there were quite a few really decent restaurants in the area.

Don- Nice picture of a tractor in mud.

I hope that everyone is having the day that they anticipated.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers with special thoughts for Drew.

Mostly
Nice fish.
I never fished much but do enjoy it when I occasionally throw a line out. I love being out on the water in a Buoyant Occupied Aquatic Transport (Boat)..
My favorite was a trip to Alaska when a friend of my friend we were visiting took us out in the pacific waterways in their boat for an evening of fishing and dining on halibut.

Got a bunch of testing done today. Found 1 minor bug and we already know of a major bug that they hope to get fixed early next week. Still need a half hr to get my time in, after supper.

Now to catch up on 40 more good morning posts.

I’m glad I got back from my trip before all that rain. None here yet, ground is very dry, but right before sunset (was hoping for another pic) the clouds rolled in. Sitting on porch now, it has cooled down to 66°. Breeze blowing and wind chimes are singing.

My Friend who just graduated from WV as a EE, got married at home last weekend and has moved up to MI this weekend. His new wife starts at Chrysler next week as ME.

I see WV has opened restaurants. Some things starting to open here, even though the CV19 numbers keep going up at over 1k per day.

Cats fed, fish fed (except The Woman's), myself fed, 48 gallons of PWC water drawn, started cleaning the front glass on tanks, got several done. Still have to vacuum the carpet.

Worm farm restoration project started. Surprised to find after 2 or 3 months of no food/no water any of them were still alive ... but they looked surprisingly good. Apparently they're a pretty hard species ...

Got four of the six boxes rehydrated, and three fed ... and then ran out of food.

Kubota dealer called this afternoon, parts are in ...

Just removed the four bolts that retain the pins for the curl cylinders and started to remove the pins with a hand sledge and a drift.

Think I'm going to leave the tractor sitting right where it is (in front of the garage) ... really no need to move it, just take the cylinders off and take them in to have the gland nut loosened and then any "rebuilding" can be done up in the shop.

Two of the four hoses have already been replaced on those cylinders within the last year or two with hoses I had made up at NAPA. They're a little more expensive than DHH, but I'll probably just go ahead and get the other two (cracked) done by them ... they're good folks, have decent quality components ... and besides, that way they will all have the same purty green stripe ...

WeatherBug weather guessers still calling for rain over the ten day ... but now it looks like a veritable heat wave (mid to high 80's) ...

I swear their "predictions" are generated automatically (probably on the quarter hour) using some random algorithm ...
