Poured first cup of coffee. 52° with light rain this morning. Heading to 67° with some clearing in pm. Over 2" of rain last 2 days. Need to get my manual gauge put out. Got shelf cut, sanded and primed. Hope to get it painted today. Flail blades have been changed. Need things to dry up some so I can cut field. May do some trimming in afternoon.
Early morning love birds.

Drew, special prayers sent.

Don, you are getting more tractor time than me. Good dentist report. My cleaning for Thursday has been canceled. Until???????????

RS, got the numbers for bushings? I think we have same tractor.

Riptides, good news on DD.

Looking, have a great summer.

Phil, better knots than I tie. I was a Eagle Scout.

David, virtual happy hour? Videos of people consuming their favorite adult beverage.

Thomas, lots of firewood. I should fire up my wood stove this year. I always liked it's heat.

Ken, have not seen any fawns here yet. But people are posting pictures of them at park a couple miles from me.

Randy, did you get upholstery job done yet? How about those El Camino pictures?

Buckeye, putting metal on front of hole saves the wood. I had a birdhouse I scrapped this year. Hole was still correct size after 10 years.

Everyone be safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Upholstery job nearly done and El Camino is mid way. IMG_0658.JPG

55°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 66° today. Another morning of driving in and out of light drizzle, mostly in the city.

We got some light rain on and off most of the day yesterday, which wasn't predicted. Kind of looking like we'll get the same treatment today, which was predicted.

100s already RNG? Ouch. We'll hit the mid-80s this weekend. Not ready for triple digits yet. We're actually having a pleasant Spring here for a change.

Looks like an inside day.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good morning, the temp is 47°F and going to a high of 66. Wind ENE 14 gusting to 20 mph. Sunny!

Back to the grind (work). I found out that the first load is a part load (that is all they need) for that job. I will take them a full load +/- and they can carry the rest to Souix Lookout. I will deadhead to Thunder Bay and load there for S-L.

It will be nice to see some of my old friends (fellow truckers) from Winnipeg,MB that I haven't seen since last summer. We all hang around the same truck stop.

Mostly, I don't want to get a haircut, not one and certainly not all of them.:D
I like my hair long, I tie it back into a ponytail when I am at work and my days off I let it all hang out.

I will get on here whenever I can, but that wont be every day that is for sure.

Have a safe and healthy day all

Safe travels 🤙

61F and overcast, with a 40% chance of light rain ... there are some showers in the general area.

Looks like it will remain overcast for the rest of the day. Calling for mostly cloudy tomorrow and then chances of rain or storms on Thursday and Friday.

Got a good bit done on the shop clean up yesterday ... still have a ways to go however, in order to be able to drop the FEL in there and work on it.

Might get up there later today ... or not.

RNG, 6 months? Really? You could have asked LOL
My first generator for autostart it took my over a year to figure out. Salesman was insistent it was set up for it, eventually stopped answering my emails. Finally, I just tore into it, attempting to trace the wiring etc. of course documentation was sparse. Eventually figured out it had its own relay, but it was 120/240v. Set up to operate on Mains power, not off grid, backup. Wired in my own 12vdc relay, connected to inverter and worked like a charm, end of that frustration.

When I installed my propane genset last year, simple, test as you did. Remind me which inverter yo are going with? With Outback Radian there are both relay and non relay connections. Enjoy.

... RS, got the numbers for bushings? I think we have same tractor. ...

No numbers - I haven't measured them yet - just a couple of sources.

Pretty sure the ID (to accommodate the pins) is 1" ... bushing OD (min) is probably 1.25" ... length would vary depending on whether one was talking about fitting bushings on the cylinder ends themselves, or the tabs on the loader frame the pins fit into. Rough guess on lengths would be 2" for the rod ends of the cylinders, and probably 1/2" for the tabs on the loader frame. Need to check though.

Found this thread:

https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums...hings.html?highlight=re-bushing+cylinder+pins

... where a TBN member (jdeng - only ever made one post) who really seemed like he knew what he was talking about mentioned two sources for spring-style, easily replaceable wear bushings:

Vogelsang Fastener - Products

and

CONNEX - Spring Bushings & Pins

Not too sure I want to tackle drilling out the rod ends on the cylinders myself (new cylinders are $667.00 apiece ) ... given the amount of runout (and lack of really slow speeds) on my Craftsman drill press. Might see if I can find a local machine shop that could bore them out with some degree of precision. Or check with my machinist neighbor and see if he still has his shop set up out in the pole barn with his Bridgeport.

On boring out the tabs on the loader frame, kind of a similar deal: I need to talk to my ex heavy-equipment mechanic neighbor again and go over what we discussed previously. Seems like he gave me the name of a place up near Cleveland that did that kind of work ... but that would likely involve taking the loader frame to them ... unless they offer an on-site line-boring service (entirely possible ... but likely to be expensive.

I can rent a Milwaukee Mag Drill locally ... but I'm not sure that would really be workable without turning the loader frame on its side so the drill was sitting on top of what it was drilling (as opposed to hanging off the side of it)

The mag drills will work sideways and upside down, I would be tempted to tack on a piece of 3/4" plate to mount the drill too.
Many construction equipment repair shops either have the capabilities to bore and sleeve pin holes in mobile units or have some that they can call when needed.

Good afternoon. It was 71° and very foggy this morning. It's now 89° and headed to 92° later.

I had an 8 a.m. appointment with my Dermatologist in La Grange. I had made the appointment back in December 2019. This was a routine checkup. Their Covid protocols were well organized and easy to follow;

1. Call them on arrival and wait in the truck.

2. Come to their office when they call you that .. they're ready. Got my call about 15 minutes early.

3. Wear your own mask or they will furnish you one.

4. Nurse at door takes your temperature. Extra points if you guess what it is within 0.2°. Nailed it at 98.1°.

5. Then you fill out a short form.

Out of state travel in last 14 Days?
Any respiratory symptoms?
Anyone in your family with symptoms?
Have you posted on TNT .. in last 8 hours?

I walked thru a totally empty waiting room, to one of the examination rooms. Exam was completed routinely except for everyone wearing the masks.

I drove thru my ranch gate at 9:05 a.m.

I'll be sooo glad when only surgeons and robbers have to wear these stoopid masks!

And ... Still need a haircut! Maybe tomorrow.

Everyone have a great day.

Prayers to all .. extra ones for Drew.

Lou,

Thanks - that's good info ...

I do remember there being a potential issue with the metal not being thick enough for the mag drill to grip to, when I called about renting one a couple of years ago.

(The Milwaukee that is available at the local rental place weighs like 70 lbs ...)
