We had a 49 mph gust ahead of the front and about an inch of rain according to gauge.

Seem to have the bleeding under control with a pressure bandage.
Boy it looks ugly.

Keep the drone videos coming.

Good evening all. 52F for the start, sunny, light breeze. Expecting more wind did not go fish, but worked on north gable. Had already start started before the "before" pic, but you can see how much just brooming the siding helped. Did get vinegar on where most of the mildew was, vinegar is supposed to ruin mildew's day. Gable was my project for day, need gas run and get mower blade sharpened and oil changed also.
Cooke county now has 3 active and 6 recovered cases, Montague unchanged, Grayson up to 32 case, recovered ?

Good morning all, exactly same temperature out as Roy, toasty inside the house thanks to last night's hawthorn embers still glowing red in the woodburner. Had to start wearing a jacket again these last few days but the upside was enough cloud to venture out without sunscreen and just enough rain to once more turn the soil dark brown.

With delivery companies still swamped, it has taken the best part of a week to get a usb wifi adaptor, something that in BC times would have arrived the next day. In the meantime I could have sat in my wife's craft room and set up a new user account for her computer, instead I opted to minimise the risk of being punctured by pins and took a few days break from the internet and added an hour or possibly more to each day - a good lesson to me for the future.

The cattle muck that was spread a couple of weeks back needs harrowing today while still moist to break up the clumps, I need to ration myself to 10 minutes of catching up on TBN then get out, which almost certainly means I will have to skip a good amount and concentrate mostly on mostly's always excellent summaries, I'm sure he would notice if anyone had grown an extra head or anything over the last week. Actually I am almost too scared to look, a week ago there were posts about meat processing plants, now Jay is talking of Soylent Green  . Don, until food is plentiful again, maybe best keep quiet about your body being entirely plant based :eek: :D

54 and looks like rain is ending for a while. Going to 63.

In addition to our mail yesterday, we got two neighbors' mail. I guess they are subbing out delivery duty. :)

Today's Quarantine humor (special Sodamo edition):

Hormel made their first batch of Spam in 1937.
The company has just announced that due to hoarding by consumers,
they are going to make a second batch.

About 55 outside this AM. Heading to mid 60's...rain..and rain..

Thank you all for your kind words and condolences. It's been a hard week, but plenty of good memories. And I chuckle as I type, you see that horse broke some fingers way back when, trying to get her to load. On rainy days, they ache. And I just popped one. Giddy up! On a side note, looks like we will be donating her feeds to a rescue group in the coming days. Her condition sort of forced us into a special diet for the past year or so. We had just ordered her restock of feeds and whatnot. The company politely declined to take it back for a refund, and we are OK with that. It will go to a better cause.

On a more personal side note, well the virus has impacted our family some more. Daughter was exposed working in the ER to a patient and is now on mandatory lock down. I asked how that could happen with PPE and what not, seems the patient started displaying symptoms after the ER visit while they were hospitalized for something else. Days later. Well, at least the tracking part worked. Sigh.

We ordered take out last night from a local restaurant. Trying to treat ourselves. Called it in, pull up to locked door. Delivered by mask and gloves. Home.
That was good.

Need to start thinking about groceries stocks again. Local bakery we frequented has started stocking dairy products and consumables for baking your own. Smart move. Same delivery concept. All web based and curb side pickup.

The new normal I am thinking.

Hope all have a good day. Thanks again for the kind thoughts. Be safe,
