Ron has his beautiful birds, Kyle has his glow-in-the-dark spooky scorpions. Me? I get Jerusalem Crickets.

Found this little thing scratching around outside the bedroom door in the wee hours this morning. Sounded just like the mouse I've been hearing. Hmmm...

Scooped him up in a Kleenex, then dumped him in an old peanut butter jar and went back to bed.

Just saw the jar on the counter and took it outside for release. I hope it'll be happier out there, cause I sure don't wanna step on one with my bare feet in the middle of the night...

When I find a bug in the house. I start looking for it’s relatives and friends.

"Mr. Tom looks very proud of himself in that photo, Thomas. How close was his girlfriend?"
About 10 yards she cluck couple times and he came looking for me.

Good day for outside  finally 5 hours got that nasty mess clean rake end of the driveway :dance1: just one more area left to go.
Not much plan for this evening movie and bowl of ice for sure.
Gotta scoot Mrs. said dinner ready. :licking:

Enjoy the evening all.

A nice day today. It started off frosty at 30, but quickly headed for the high of 59 with lots of sun. We cut lawn today for the 5th time already this year. Trees are beginning to flower and leaf out.

Our Red Bud has been in bloom for almost a week.

The flower clusters on the Carolina Silverbell are almost ready to burst.

The baby leaves on the Red Oak are unfurled.

I hope everyone has a safe and healthy week!

after foodshopping this morning, I went to CVS and Walmart to pick up prescriptions, and neither were open, recent message posted they had put Sunday
hours back to 10am. Groan, back home and then back in to pick them up. About half the folks in both stores were wearing masks.

heavy rain is coming in soon and will continue into tomorrow. Will certainly water the flowers nicely.
Otherwise I've had a quiet day, mostly reading a book.
Need to call my 93 year old MIL shortly, been trying to call her more often during this stay at home period.

Good evening. Been a busy day. Got some serious seat time mowing. First time the NH has mowed this year.

Made my weekly grocery trip with the wife today. Been watching the shelves. IMO, there are starting to be supply chain issues. The shelves are getting very lightly stocked. Significant amount amount of empty shelves, and more than just paper products and cleaning products MIA.

I may just get that 3 GP. I do like my Ruger revolvers.

Everyone have a good evening.

After streaming our worship, had my Walmart pickup. 4 substitutes, 3 item out, but got most of it.
Got gas for $1.80
Wife did stroganoff in crock pot for lunch.
Then mowed all of yard and field.

Then used grapple for over 3 hours, picked up 3 multiflora roses that neighbor had cut in his fence line, then moved trees I had cleared 3 years ago across creek. Trees rotted pretty good since I had piled it up.
Putting it all in the old mill race,
Most of this pile gone.

Found this.

And started clearing out this area. In background is where I’m dumping it all.

Well, our groceries were delivered from Walmart shortly after 3 p.m. Now there had been NO indication at all of anything we ordered not being available. However, the beef roast my wife planned to have tomorrow, and three other things were not included, there was no receipt, no indication of the final cost, etc. until I went back online and found the 4 items not available and of course, the bill was supposedly reduced. I don't think I'll be having anymore delivered to the house. I might still order online and go to the store for them to put the items in the car.

We picked our order up this afternoon, we were short 4-5 items also. But substituted two smaller cat treats for the large one, same price, more treats. Spaghetti was 2 lb for the price of 1. But no margarine, finally got Ellen her bagels.

Planted the rest of the flowers, seat time hauling dirt from my pit to the house. Put edging around the pavers in front, finally. Had leftover ham and cheese sandwich for lunch, Ellen had the rest of my homemade ham salad. Then we took a nap. I woke up in Afib, but I think it was from dehydration, a couple bottles of water and I got back to normal.

Everyone stay safe and healthy. Prayers.

Randy, hope they figure it out, glad the water helped. Prayers. I've noticed lately, I've awoke (possibly from some dreams) and my pulse would be over a hundred...is that AFIB? My 90 year old mom and 70 year old brother have it. He just got diagnosed a few weeks ago.

Dewberries are still relatively slim pickens. But we (daughter and I) managed 1.5 quarts. Should be enough for a cobbler.

It sure got hot quick. Yesterday and last night was cool 60's, and today hit around 90 with full sun.

RNG, I have my guess ready for what kind of machine you might get, but I don't want to give it away.

Took a 45 minute ride on some back country roads.

I saw where Smithfield meats had most of their workers come down with the virus. The workers were complaining about no PPE or very little. Also came out they are Chinese owned. So for me, scratch them off my grocery list for hams and such.

It is sad to hear so many farmers and dairy people just tilling in food, or pouring milk down the drain. I hate waist. Was taught to clean my plate. (So I put the bare minimum of vegetables on it, unless it was beans, black eyed peas or green beans). ;) My daughter, who loves most vegetables, has decided she doesn't like kale. We still have a row about 15-20 long of it, and it is still doing well. Wifey still likes it.

We are doing well with provisions. Although we still do NOT like single ply toilet paper. :)
