Good morning, the temp is 19°F and going to a high of 43. Wind ESE 9 mph. A mix of sun and cloud today.

I am not sure what I will get up to today.

Eriic, I heard that Bonnie Prince Charlie had it too. Has he survived?

Have a safe and healthy day all

52 and some raindrops scattered around...should see real rain and 63.

We cleaned up the porches yesterday from their winter firewood crumbs and spring pollen. Also began to disassemble an old farm wagon that was left here when we bought the original place...thick plywood sides and bottom with mostly rotten tires...never used it for much besides storage, but kept it under the shelter, and I want that space back. I'll repurpose the lumber from it, not sure about the axle.

Still haven't seen any female hummingbirds, but a male was very interested in me when I was out earlier at first light hanging the feeders. Yesterday, had quite a show...two kinds of hawks perched high in two of our maples scanning the ground while birds fed and squirrels chased each other. Then a bald eagle flew high overhead with a crow harassing it.

Randy and Kyle, hope your health issues are better.

Good Monday morning all.
Light rain out, much less than predicted, around 60 now and staying there all day.
Mostly, I had a quiet day yesterday for sure
Have some paperwork to work on this morning, otherwise another quiet day.

Eric, I planted three redbuds several years ago in my front lawn, will be awhile until they look as nice as Frank's.

We didn't get it often but stroganoff was a favorite meal growing up. Anything goopy or stew like was a favorite for me.
I bet it's pretty high calorie

Poured first cup of coffee. 22ー with clear skies this morning. Heading to 57ー with sun most of the day. Got bandsaw back to working yesterday. Did not get any chipping done. It's at top of todays list.

Great picture from many.

Eric, those death numbers are shocking. Metro Detroit area has a total of just shy of 2000. Whole state of Michigan is 3,300 total. Stay safe and healthy. I have 2 Red Bud trees. Will not bud for at least a month.

Looking, nice that you were able to put your cat to rest properly.

LS, garden/pond is looking great. Fish for my pond are easy. Putting plants made it look pretty until string algae took over the whole pond. Pond is over 2' deep at deepest point. Only animal that bothers fish is Herons.

David, I do not have your view and cannot cut straight.

RNG, will keep an eye on blocked tractor view. But no guessing. Well I did guess. Wrote it down in my iPhone notes. DJI says my mini has been shipped by Fedex.

Kyle, I got the thumping heart beats before I went on BP meds. Dr lowering my dose over a week ago has helped me. 1/2 a tablet is 10 mg. My blood pressure is been very good. In another week I am going to try 1/4 tablet. 5mg. Dr said try it. But monitor BP 3 times a day. I am finding out that these meds make you have cold feet and hands and many other side effects. No wonder I did not get outside like I normally do during the winter.

Randy, hope they get your meds under control.

Drew, I enjoy quiet days as much as those days I get alot done.

Roy, Look like you are getting my weather from yesterday.

Mostly, I need to get a new battery in my Mailbox chime also.

Everyone be safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Good morning. It’s 59° and totally foggy here this morning. It was clear at 5 a.m. but the dew point caught up with temperature. It’s forecast to burn off soon and get to 87° this afternoon.

We got 1/2” of welcome rain Saturday and another 1/4” yesterday morning.

I did get about 80% of the 9 acres, around the house mowed before the rain cam Saturday.

I spent Friday clearing more yaupon as this is best time of the year to get a good “cut stump” kill.

During “tractor maintenance Sunday” I was filling the washer fluid reservoirs on both tractors. The one on the New Holland has a crack in it and feels brittle near the bottom. Hopefully the NH Dealer has one and its not big $$$.

Hoping everyone is staying safe. Texas is beginning a slow, careful re-opening.

Prayers for all.

I've noticed lately, I've awoke (possibly from some dreams) and my pulse would be over a hundred...is that AFIB? My 90 year old mom and 70 year old brother have it. He just got diagnosed a few weeks ago.

Dewberries are still relatively slim pickens. But we (daughter and I) managed 1.5 quarts. Should be enough for a cobbler.

Kyle, A-fib needs to be eliminated because of it's stroke potential. As RS pointed out there are different reasons for tachycardia. Here's another link:
Waking Up with Heart Racing: Causes, Treatment & More

To stretch the dewberries and make the cobbler taste better I always used 1/2 dewberries and 1/2 frozen peaches.

Good morning! 62F cloudy, today could be the attic day I have successfully put off for a month.

Swallows were trying to build mud nest above my front door. I got out my big gun - (EGO blower) and put it on turbo and as they were trying to dive past me to get to the door i'd hit them with a blast of turbo air. After about 15 minutes they finally decided to look elsewhere for their mud nest.

RNG, waiting patiently as the puzzle pieces are revealed. Some kind of retractable FEL?

Good morning to all! ..... ? Low temp last night, I think upper 30s. Should go up to 67 today.

I reworked some of those stiff muscles again yesterday, but have to keep forward progress. Got 1 of 4 zones drip irrigation lines put in and functional. This was the zone where the decorative gravel is going. So, since that was done, started to shovel the gravel off the trailer. I did maybe 3 wheelbarrow loads.... time to call in the reinforcements. My son came over and shoveled the next 1 3/4 tons into the wheelbarrow and spread it out in the area.

Today I will continue with landscape fabric and the drip system in the rest of the area. Much easier work.... close to the finish line... I can see it....

David, I will accept some of the grass seed and rain.... as long as they are not sent via wind!

I heard / saw flying away, our first hummingbird of the season. Could not tell if it was M or F. Last year we did not have too many at all. I am hoping we are more on their flight path this year.

Everyone have a great day!

50 going up to 57 here cloudy, looks like another rainy week, still have water coming down the mountain from Friday/Saturday rain.
Tried splitting some of the fallen ash tree rounds. The 16" and less ones split easy, the bigger ones are still too wet, even though been sitting 6 months. the 8 pound maul just can't get those split so I may chainsaw them in half.
Still have not seen any humming birds-feeder is out and ready. I don;t buy food, I just hard boil 4:1 water to sugar and use that, they do seem to love it.
Shopping yesterday, more items on shelves here, still a little bare.

Be well and stay safe.

Thank you.

Maybe it's because we have a project at work that involves cardiomyocyte cells that I'm involved with....

That's probably it ...
