Good Morning!!!! 50F @ 6:15AM. Generally cloudy. High 71F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Looking forward to your first drone shots, Ron!

Good luck with the tank replacement, Rick. I've had several go bad on different vehicles, but manufacturers will keep using plastic because it's cheaper to use than aluminum.:muttering:

Used sour cream substitute in the last batch of stroganof I made, Drew, and it wasn't quite the same but still good. Low calorie? I haven't a clue, but I did use very lean meat that was browned using no oil.

Wng, it's not unusual here for the hummers to try to land on the feeders as I'm changing 'em out. They're all empty this morning, so that's what I'll be doing while the oats are cookin'.

Sorry to hear about the high tole near you, Eric. Even though this county is still holding at 16 total cases and no deaths, everyone around is still sheltering in place. Yesterday I found the official copy of the "opening up" guidelines, and was relieved to see they are based on monitoring, testing, and tracing goals, and will not proceed if those goals are not met. I also read yesterday that census workers are being repurposed to do tracing, and more testing capability should be available soon.

Hoping to get word about the tractor from the Kubota dealer today. They've now had it a week. The propeller shaft couplers I ordered from Messick's last Wednesday arrived Saturday; pretty quick turn around. Just need to get the tractor back to install 'em...

In the mean time, I started putting a radio in the van yesterday. Getting pretty tired of singing to myself on longer drives. Lots of fiddling with the bracket, and I'm not real happy with where the door speakers ended up, so there's still some fiddling to do. And I haven't even started the wiring.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a fantastic start!

Randy, hope they figure it out, glad the water helped. Prayers. I've noticed lately, I've awoke (possibly from some dreams) and my pulse would be over a hundred...is that AFIB? My 90 year old mom and 70 year old brother have it. He just got diagnosed a few weeks ago.

It fits the description, especially if the rate is up and down, best get checked. You don稚 want blood clots.

52-57 later, I’ll be glad when the weather feels like the date. Rainy this morning, we’ve had several rains, but the total was not impressive.
No stimulus checks at this location yet.
I got a pot of spaghetti sauce in the slow cooker.
With the rain I won’t be doing outside stuff today, I have the York rake on the tractor and I’ve cleaned up one area, but there’s more I want to do, right now I have the dog on my left and cat on my right sleeping, I might join them.
Have a good and safe day all. Prayers.

54 outside this AM. Lower 60's today. Grey outside.

Gave up on the barbed wire yesterday after one strand. Too much work and too much poison ivy. Returned to chopping cedar branches and clearing tree lines around property perimeter.

Not much else.

Have a good day all. Be safe.

37°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 69° today.

Saturday was a nice day weather wise, but the wind kicked up a bit too much to get any burning done. Wife had started talking about redoing the furniture arrangement in the sunroom Friday evening. She wanted to put a small table and chairs in there, and maybe replace the wicker furniture with some manner of a small sectional sofa. She found a few things she liked, but neither of us were thrilled at the prices. Saturday morning, she found a table and chairs on Facebook Marketplace for sale in Marissa IL. She decided she liked it enough and told the seller I could be there in about an hour. I left in the F-150 around noon. I got just past Mascoutah (half way there) when the battery light started flickering on and off. :censored: This is starting to get old real quick. I turned around and headed back home, not wanting to get stranded 40 miles form home with stuff in the bed. She called the lady and explained what happened. When they told her that the table would come apart, we decided to take both cars (both have hatchbacks) instead. Turned out that we probably could have fit everything in just one car. After we got it home and reassembled and in place, she started looking at the rest of the furniture in the room. It was too crowded. The original idea of replacing it all with a small sectional was eventually abandoned when the removal of a large plant stand in the corner and a couple of small tables, and rearrangement of the existing wicker furniture, proved to be livable to her. She even pulled up an old narrow 6-leg table from the basement that she'd been wondering about what she should do with it. She contacted a friend who does furniture refinishing, and she's going to come over to strip and paint it to match the rest of the room. Throwing some work to a friend. So, Buddha got moved from the top of the plant stand to the top of the table, along with her orchids ... which seem to be doing well.

Sunday morning I got the small burn pile lit early after feeding the chickens. No wind at all until it got to the smoldering stage. I still have a leaf pile in the front that needs to be burned. Didn't get a chance to look at the truck's battery situation. I bought a used GoPro camera last Tuesday, and spent the better part of the rest of the day trying to figure out how to use the wifi connection with my iPhone. Several attempts to update the firmware and reset the password were unsuccessful. Frustrating when technology puts obstacles in the way instead of removing them. I was hoping to start working on shooting some videos for my YouTube channel. However, this setback and new information about stuff going on with YouTube have me changing direction a bit. Always something.

Wife had a meet and greet yesterday with potential adopters of our foster pup. The woman called just before she left to go meet them and expressed some reservations about adopting a deaf dog. Not the best time to come to that conclusion, right at the end of the process. But, she took the dog to meet them anyway. They liked her, but wanted another day or so to talk about it, so she brought Annika back home. Hoping they take her in the end. She's been with us for about four months now, and needs to find a furever home.

Nice-looking revolver, Rich. As Roy noted, Ruger makes some fantastic revolvers. Congrats.

Some more great pics, guys. Thanks for sharing.

Seems like it's always a tug-of-war to get my GoPros going, too, Paul. This last time I wanted to use the new-to-me iPad Mini to set up a GoPro Hero Session 5, and I first had to download the GoPro app. That seemed to take forever. Then poke the two buttons on the session and try to read the tiny screen and poke the right button at the right time. Frustrating when the "set" function and the "change" function change between the buttons depending on how deep into the menu system you are. All that's much easier using the app, but first you have to remember to connect to the WiFi network that the camera produces. Why GoPro just didn't stick with Bluetooth, which they do use when first configuring the camera, I'll never know. Even more frustrating when you put one of the tiny Session cameras away where you won't lose it, and it's so small you look there several times before you realize it's been there all along.:ashamed:

What's going on with YouTube? I'm just getting comfortable with their Studio app, and have been very unhappy with the resolution killing Facebook video hosting...

Got my DJI shipping notice today also. The race is on with Ron.

Then today a front page news story how DJI has donated drones to 43 law enforcement agencies to help enforce social distancing
, and speculation that DJI has ties to Chinese government.

Initial allegations on DJI tech were made in the 2017 time frame and never confirmed.

To address concerns based on security DJI offers a government edition by enabling data capture expectations to the drone itself.

My problem with the GoPro is that I bought a used one (Hero 3), and the seller had changed the default password but couldn't remember it. Lots of bad information on the web regarding resetting the password, but finally found the right info at the GoPro website. There is no shortcut, it seems. The microSD card that came with it is apparently write protected, so I can't copy the downloaded updates to it. It's only 16gb anyway, so I'm going to go buy a new 64gb card and see if that works.

I've seen a few guys posting videos this past week about copyright infringement enforcement. One guy got pinged last week for a video he made three years ago, which included a 46 second snippet of him playing part of the guitar solo from Hotel California. The record company found it and protested its existence. YouTube told him he had to remove it, then gave him a strike against his account for it ... even after having told him years ago that it was OK to post cover song videos because they are paying royalties to the songwriters through ASCAP/BMI. They noted at the time that the artists or record companies might change their minds at any time, but it should be fine. He was fine with the request to take it down. After all, it's their music. What he was not fine with was YT issuing a strike against his account for something they initially told him was OK to do. With YouTube, three strikes against your account shuts it down permanently, and bans you from ever having an account there again. So, three years after the fact, he's suddenly facing the possibility of losing four years worth of work - literally 600+ videos - because YT has decided to discipline him for something they told him was OK to do. In his case, he took everything down that was a cover of someone else's song, and edited out snippets from other videos (he makes videos showing how to develop specific guitar tones with the Line 6 Helix modeler, then sometimes makes performance videos to demonstrate how they sound in a song mix).

I've been recording some covers of songs I like from artists I like, but played the way I play - kind of a heavy progressive rock style. The camera purchase was to shoot videos for these songs and post them on YouTube. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about this over the years. However, recent research led me to find that all of these artists already have cover versions all over YouTube by all kinds of people. After seeing a few other YouTubers talking about this latest crackdown, though, I'm having to reassess this plan. I also intend to post my own original music there, so I wouldn't want to run into the same dilemma over cover tunes. I think I have a workaround, though. If I change the structure of the chord progressions, change the melody, and rewrite the lyrics, then it's no longer their song. I'm thinking of calling them "Anti-songs." For example, the Steve Miller Band song "Take The Money And Run" might become "Keep The Money And Stay," with the chord progression played backwards. Simple enough, and might be fun for people to try to figure out what song it's supposed to be.

A bit long-winded, but there it is.

My local New Holland dealer has my washer fluid tank in stock at their Bryan store and their truck was at that store when I called. $76 and I’ll have it tomorrow. I thought $76 was a bit much but found out it comes with two pumps (windshield and rear window) so not bad at all.
