Hit 70F today, mostly nice sunny day... finished getting the trampoline set up.. daughter put fabric on upside down so the net didn't line up with the poles properly.. she decided we needed to unlace the net from the springs and redo it.. that took over an hour.. of course we had to redo how the net is held up (old setup was broken pieces and did not work.. wife had some paracord and I found some eyebolts so we got it done.. grand daughter was a bit impatient but enjoyed jumping on it for awhile. She can go out now anytime and jump.

Stay safe, prayers for all.

Kyle, sure hope the bites is a non event.

Just changed out the CO2 tank, suspect the IPA keg will be toast this week. Might make a run to town later in week for lime and fertilizer, if so, would replenish that keg.

Good evening all. 44F for the start, sunny, light breeze. Sky beacame mostly cloudy by late afternoon, wind light to moderate, and high temp was 67F. Went for bike ride, 50 miles and less head wind than normal :) after lunch energy conservation and nap. Made dinner tonight.
Cook county up 1 case to 3, Mantague steady at 5, and Grayson steady at 19.
Roy, the enemy below and the Bravados both have been on broadcast TV and I enjoyed them both.
Phil, lot of rain in forecast, nice night sky pic
Eric, sorry about the lamb, too bad you can't reason with it. :confused2:
Ron nice pic.
Buckeye, I rarely sleep in same room as phone, besides txting, amber alerts are very sleep disruptive.
Randy, sorry about cruise, have had the Easter bike trip canceled, hoping June on the Katy trail won't be.
Thomas, nice snow pic
Billy sorry about the shingles, glad I don't have a bear around here.
Mike if you need a dog house might as well make it as nice as possible. :drink:
Phil the linked worked, it's been a while since I had that much snow.
Ted maybe you have same problem as I, short attention span.
Jay tractor looks sad in the snow.
Ken glad dog is ok.
RNG good to hear progress, hopefully tractor back soon. Nice sunset.
David, have fun mowing.
Rich, nice gun
Thomas nice turkey really puffed up.
Buckeye beef stew sounds good.
Randy love the GS pic
Kyle good luck with the trees, we don't want the trees to live up to their name!! Hope the scorpion sting goes away quickly
Ted nice progress on the landscape project. great pics
Hawkeye good to hear trampoline is set up and no one was injured :)
prayers for all
stay safe and healthy.

Jump party at hawkeye's .... :)

Good evening. I gots bunch done on the landscaping project, all the plants planted in their respective spots. Took the BH off and put on the PHD. Tote the split rail accent fences in place. Added a second level... or is it a third.. level to the pond waterfalls. Now ready to put the landscape fabric down, install the drip irrigation system, then the decorative gravel (YES! More gravel!), and mulch. Not sure how much I will get done tomorrow.

A few updated progress pics...
Looking good. Gonna have yourselves a little grotto soon. How are you going to water it?

L4N, I hate losing pets too. Tears me up. My condolences.

Just got off the tractor shredding in between all the trees just south of my home. About 4-5 acres and maybe 80 trees. Night mowing is like free air conditioning since I don't have a cab. :)

I had some trimmings from my red tip photenia bush/tree that had been cut/trimmed a couple of months ago. The leaves were totally brown. Since the wind speed went to zero, I started putting them on the fire I built. Holy Cow! They burn like jet fuel. Closest thing I could compare it to would be dried cedar saplings with the leaves still on them.

Prayers for all.

Another few hours mowing. Great day for it.
IMG_1496.JPG

Probably another 3 hours to finish this section. Maybe tomorrow.

Think I had a discussion with wife about the Stimulus money.
I asked how she wanted to spend it. She told me and I agreed that would be good. Basically, save it and maybe take a trip when this is all over.
She asked me how I thought. Told her I’d put it toward the new batteries and she said ok. Of course she also mentioned that I spent the tax refund getting something for the tractor. Not exactly, was only 100 dollars. End of discussion.
After lunch, she mentioned my idea was a good one. I guess I’ll find out Wed or Thu when I go to move the money. Funny thing is I’d agree to anything she wanted, but she doesn’t have wants. Still working on that new pair of walking shoes she needs but reluctant to get. Frugal is her middle name. Having survived the tough times, today money is often a subject for humor. Blessed indeed.

You are blessed. Me and the wifey have put up a 3x5 card ledger with the balance at the top. We have to get permission from the other for any expenditures. WE ARE TRYING HARD NOT TO BUY ANY CHINESE STUFF. (But I just found out the chicken wire I bought "Acorn" brand, comes from China). Hard to find chicken wire made here. Another systemic problem attributed to offshoring.

Good morning all, high pressure is back, bringing dawn to dusk sunshine again. The concept of only doing inside jobs while it is raining will have to go out of the window as it's unlikely there will be any for at least another week.

No wayward lambs this morning :dance1:

Kyle, hope your daughter is feeling better today.

Went for bike ride, 50 miles and less head wind than normal :)
Cycling heaven. Just think though, if pedals hadn't been invented, bikes would be very different. On days without the wind in your sails, you could have been stuck at home :)

"Nice shot of the planets, Phil, and the snow movie worked fine, too. What kind of camera is it that has such a long exposure setting for the planets?"
Believe it or not that is a straight normal shot with my Iphone X. I did zoom in a bit digitally before snapping the pic. All the planets were lined up by God for the shot. Only happens once in a while.

30 here going to a partly cloudy 55. Hopefully will melt all the snow so I don't have to clean any up. At least the upcoming week will be above freezing!

I found the shotgun I was going to buy is made in China, which is why I haven’t bought it yet. Savage 320 pump.
