Good morning!!!!

Little bit of excitement here this morning. Muffin (my avatar) decided to go for a long walk. She is blind. Took me about 1 1/2 hours to find her. After walking around my place and closest neighbors places. I got golf cart out and went looking for her along county road. Happen to see a tiny white spot behind one of the houses. Drove up their driveway. Nothing. Decided to walkout to back of their large backyard. There she was in a little low spot. Still looking for the way home. Got her home, dried and warmed up. I am ready to conserve energy rest of the day.

If I'm not mistaken, tofu is made from soy beans, right? If so, they are high in oxalate, too. On the last visit with my urologist, he suggested I eat a Tums with any high oxalate food, as the calcium in the Tums would bind with the oxalate in my stomach and keep it out of my kidneys. So now I have a big bottle of fruit flavored generic Tums on the kitchen counter, and pop one with my evening beer or cocktail, just before dinner.:licking:

Substitute blended rice for the tofu.

Ron, glad your search and rescue mission was successful!

Ron, very glad you found little Muffin! That is exceptionally stressful! ... I am sure for both of you!

I went out and took some pics of the shop... I know I needed proof that it happened! All this reorganization just affirmed that I need a bigger shop!

Today's low temperature *was *a brief 27ºF as*the*sun shined*through breaks in this morning's alto-cumulus cloud deck. *41ºF presently and the clouds are thickening somewhat. *I am hoping that today's sun will burn off the clouds and I'll see temperatures in the mid40ºF's. *And later this PM the rains begin. The good news today is that the dump/transfer station will no longer require the $1 stamp on small bags of garbage, but the bad news is there will be no dog treating until the C-19 challenges abate. *Brogen was not happy. *For a minute I*thought that he was going through the rear quad cab window again, but I guess that he remembered that he did not fit.

Ken- Welcome to GM. I do not know how I missed your post.

Drew- Another example of homes and properties that could/should be on a Home & Garden magazine cover or at least a decent article. I do not think my NH would run if I wished it. :embarrassed:

Mike- Maybe your Wife should have her own tractor. My Wife will not even sit on our rider, but she did almost run me over with our old F1100 once. It was close, but I do not think that tractor had enough ground clearance to get over me.

“… I have mastered making cheesesteaks at home though... sometimes hard to find the right meat though.”- I agree. I was related (through marriage) to the family that started Pat's King of Steaks(R) Since 193. They set a standard; another- my signature is on the USA wall map of this sub shop in Montoursville, PA: Cellini Submarine House every time I go to PA I make extreme efforts to visit there. It’s like a religious pilgrimage.

Bruce- When you make your own hand sanitizer forget about whipping up the alcohol and aloe vera gel in a bowl. Using a tight fitting jar and shaking the poo out of it will help emulsify the ingredients.

Drew- Take care. I am still gimping around and not walking Brogen, nor harvesting any of the wood downed by the tree services contracted by EverSource®. I have to accept my current limitations and take it easy. The last thing I want is to mess myself up further and have to visit a hospital. My neighbor is selling green firewood like it’s going out of style. Based on posted signage of stealers and those purchasing his stacked ricks across the road I would think many are seriously $ challenged. I really do not need the wood; I think I’ll call him and tell him it’s his to use as needed.

Billy- I agree with Randy on the wolf. Thanks for sharing the pics.

RonJH- I am happy to read that your Son’s work situation resolved itself
w/o personnel changes and that your BIL is improving. I am envious of your Blue Bird picture. We see them here occasionally. Sparrows have been a rarity here this year. I counted 1 Song Sparrow here a week ago and this morning another. RonJH I am so happy to read about Muffin. I bet you had one of the longest 1.5 hours in your life.

I am sorry to read about all the hysteria driven migrations of those out-of-staters with second homes bringing their illnesses with them. It’s probably happening around here as well.

Ted- I wish that I had your organizational skills or for that matter any. :embarrassed:

I hope that everyone is having a decent start to the weekend and stays healthy.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Hope all are doing ok this AM.

Raining here.

Sorry about not addressing some questions.

Yes we plan on always leaving the bushhog or rake in the back for ballast. That one pic...was one of my maples we took down over a year or so ago. Still weighty.

We opted not to get the tires filled just yet. Did not think we needed any more weight on the pastures.

On the horn she was just being funny.

Today looks like a good day to go tackle some more barbed wire. Last night I ventured into the back property trying to maintain some sort of perimeter line.

Have a good day all be safe and try and stay positive.

64°F and .24 inches rain. Rainy forecast for weekend continues. The good news is the cloud cover thins enough that we still get a full solar charge almost every day and haven’t needed to run the generator. Jan 15th was last charging run. I have been running exercise for 15 min on Sundays. So while it was painful to replace the batteries and upgrade the system I am quite pleased.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
