As I got older allergies have increased a lot, can’t take the pollen. I’ve been getting high pollen warnings on the phone.

Thunderstorms rolled thru earlier. That will knock some of it down.

BEF it sounded like WW3 up here yesterday afternoon even tanarite sp. I enjoy shooting as well as anyone but emptying out 30 round clips one after another seems wasteful to me, but to each his own

Good morning All. 47 for a low temperature this morning and right now. Raining hard as I type this. Wet day forecast for all day today. I guess it will be a good day for reading. We got about 1/2 cord of red oak split yesterday that was here in block form. When the weather dries out I’ll stack that to add to the growing 2022/2023 firewood supply. Hope everyone stays safe and healthy this weekend.

Frank

72 degrees this morning, going for a high of 76 with a 40% chance of rain in the forecast, and that clap of thunder just now sure was loud.

Today is my baby girl’s 40th birthday, I made her a card and printed a poster telling about all that happened in 1980, it’s the best I could do under the circumstances.

53, light rain off and on since the wee hours. 62 later then 80 tomorrow. Welcome to March.
I noticed yesterday that mowing uses a lot more fuel than loader work.
My right knee and thigh aren’t use to pushing that hydro pedal constantly for mowing.

Hope you all have a great day.

Sour Cream

16 oz EF tofu, drained
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 Tbs red wine vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)

If I'm not mistaken, tofu is made from soy beans, right? If so, they are high in oxalate, too. On the last visit with my urologist, he suggested I eat a Tums with any high oxalate food, as the calcium in the Tums would bind with the oxalate in my stomach and keep it out of my kidneys. So now I have a big bottle of fruit flavored generic Tums on the kitchen counter, and pop one with my evening beer or cocktail, just before dinner.:licking:

Cloudy with occasional rain showers. High 56F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 60%.
Looks like the rain will start this afternoon, continuing through Sunday, with a little less than a half inch of accumulation.

Nice work with the camera, Ron. Bluebirds are a favorite, but I only see them once or twice a year out here.

Wng, I think I see a tail wrapped close to the right hind leg, on what seems to be a coyote in one of your game cam photos. Things that go bump in the night!

The hummers are going through almost a half gallon of nectar a day now, another sign that spring has sprung. Made up a five gallon batch yesterday, and put out two more feeders. They seem to like the one outside the master bedroom sliding glass door the best, as it's always the first one emptied. Probably because it's in the sun first thing in the chill of morning. I get the sugar at Costco, usually in the 25 pound bags. Last trip, though, they only had 50 pounders, and there was barely room in the cupboard for it.

Got a pad of gravel put down and leveled for the generator yesterday, and I'll try to get more gravel spread out around the poles for the solar panels today. Once this coming rain is finished, it doesn't look like we'll get anymore for at least a week, and it'll be nice to work on a nice, hard, surface when I'm putting the rack together.

The tractor needs greased first, though, so that'll be first on the list this morning, right after breakfast.

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend!

Good morning to all! Low of 28 last night, snow a little bit north of us! What happened to spring? Today the high is only going to 52, expected low tonight of 24....

Finished up reorganization of the shop. While in process, I did have to look for a couple of things that I had already organized :confused2:
Ron- - - Ls, how much could be misplaced in a 6' area? - - that was just the last section to do... 24 ft was done previously the few days before .... there was a lot of stuff in that 24 ft. Plus some stuff that was added. All good. Keep the bird pics coming... they are really good. Beautiful bluebird!

Randy, the new tractor looks like it made work some fun. At times I really miss my SCUT, much easier to navigate into small areas, great little workhorses! More fun in the agenda for today?

Drew, maybe you can take it a little easier today? Go relax in the greenhouse and watch the plants grow...

The tractor has been sitting outside while I organized the shop / garage. The recent rain showers did a good job cleaning all the dust off, so I think I will pass on pressure washing it until really nice weather. I guess it was not that dirty....

The neighbor picked up materials to build some workbenches.... he had come over and saw my reorganization of the garage and it inspired him... I am going over to play in his garage (as wifey puts it). I do enjoy doing stuff like that, so yeah, really playing . He already has some accessories for the new tractor when it gets here, so that will be some more playtime...:cool2:

Well, I finished my 2 cups of coffee so time to get moving! Everyone have a great day!

Probably not a good time to waste ammo...might need that .223, 5.56 or whatever in the future...and ammo isn't plentiful right now.

I did put 3 magazine through this little CW380 about an hour ago...just to break in the gun. That was the end of the .380ACP I had on hand. I have more coming (online sales), but that's not here yet.
Gun seems to run fine on hardball (American Eagle .380)...no hiccups so far... I bought this ammo specifically for the .380's break in. This will be a warm weather carry gun, and if I need self defense ammo now, I have plenty of 9mm and a few very reliable handguns. Also have plenty of 5.56 and 7.62 rounds, should this COVID-19 turn into a Zombie Apocalypse.

Anyway, dump run is done...did my shooting for the day...after some internet research, I'll watch some movies on the Blu Ray
