Drew- I have traditional design plastic mouse traps. They clean up rather nicely after they do their dirty deed. ;) You have a nice looking dogwood. Last Winter was hard on one of my dogwoods; lots of ice and wind damage. Your gingerbread looks like good eats. I hope it helps speed your friend’s recovery. Thanks for the pictures.:)

Kyle- I really like those old steam locomotives.

I wish that I was not watching and hearing the PSU - Minnesota Big 10 game this afternoon, but it did motivate me to dig up and pot my 2 rosemary shrubs. It did not end well for PSU even though they made it close.

BEF- I probably do not want to, but I will probably watch the Ohio - PSU game in 2 weeks.

David- I like your plastic bag on a string tip. Thanks for sharing. I have lost count of all the brake rebuilds and brake part replacements on the Tundra since I bought it new (wheel bearings too:(). I can understand the replaced front struts and rear shocks at 88K miles, what bothers me is the “rear backing plates are rusted and bent, we repositioned them as best possible” that was printed on the service invoice. :( I like my BIL’s Honda Ridgeline; but it’s too nice to be ruined by Brogen’s shedding and drooling during dog transport and I really do not know how well the AWD would handle traveling off-road around here and the snow drifts. I really do not know what I want based on my perceived needs. Wifey made it very clear that a used Subaru Baja or Brat was not an option. I am hoping to keep the Tundra going until the long promised subcompact pickup trucks are reintroduced in the USA. Maybe I should get a SUV with one of those receiver hitch rear carry-alls.

I would probably not be posting here if were not for the sacrifices made by our military and those of our allies. I want to thank the Veterans here and your families for your services and sacrifices to help keep me safe. It was an honor for me to support those that did serve; especially those poor souls who remain fighting their war within.:(

Should we get a Tundra replacement, it will have a camper top on the bed for the dogs. Top will have screened windows and floor carpeted. Our dogs have loved that set up, plenty of room, they can visit at the back window which stay’s open except extreme rain. Boxers are big shedders, far easier to clean the bed than the the back seat.

David- That's an option I had not considered; Thanks. My Tacoma had a Leer top with opening windows and screens. Our German Shepherd finally figured it out that she could not squeeze through that tiny slider window.

I always add an extra bar or two so only head makes it, albeit tightly. Never had one try to force the issue.

Our German Shepherd was a big, "squirrelly," but not the brightest of German Shepherds.

If you don’t have a snake but there is conduit, use the plastic bag on a string vacuum trick.
Tie appropriate size piece of plastic bad to string. Suck thru with vacuum. Use string to pull wire. (sometimes if string too light, use to pull heavier string)

4 ft Conduit ends in a space I ended up being too big to fit in. But I got it ran. Taped 3 Ethernet cables together, to the end of a 7ft ( fortunately flexible) stick. I pushed it from the porch end into the crawl space. Then I found out I couldn’t get to the back of the crawl space, but could see the cable and stick. Found an old piece of window trim with nails sticking thru, was able to lay down and snag the cable and pull it within reach. Was able to bend stick to pull it out of conduit. Then used stick to push between insulation and drywall to attic.

Went back outside and had to pull cables back a little to reach the shortest one. Ended up pulling cable back out of attic, so had to retape stick and push other end again. Put outside coiled up cables in porch ceiling and called it a day.

One cable going to be a little short, so will probably try to pull it out and pull in another. Will be easier to just put a coupler on it though.

Was going to eat out with son, but he’s watching another movie and changed his mind. Looks like leftovers.
