We got .52 “ of rain with the front, the wind blew mums all over the yard and one good sized pine is on the ground. Looks like a bit of cleanup coming up. Put the flowers back already.

Good evening all. 28F this morning, Clear sky and calm wind. Wind was moderate, gusting briskly, sky clear, and high temp 58F. Rebuilt fire then headed off for Sherman to bike shop, book store and wife was couch shopping. Went to Panera's for lunch , then found out they took French Onion soup off menu, she was BUMMED! No nap either. Did get to take bike for a 20 mile test ride, man it worked nice. Will try to get better pic of weld outside tomorrow. Brakes need adjusting, and some bending on fenders and all is good.
David, understand about company going broke shortly after buying the product, the guy that started Volagi was in a bike wreck 3 months after I bought mine, what should have taken about a month has taken 4 months, and the paint is not fixed yet :( Just wish your cost to fix your issue was closer to mine. The Colorado I had had to computers bight the dust and no one had a clue as to what is going on, bot ECU and BDU had communication issues and replacements were 1k+ each :muttering:
Eric, most of the welding is very good, with a couple of lapses. Weld goes 2/3 of the way around the seat tube.
Check, that looks like a rude surprise.
Drew, we up here don't usually freeze till closer to Thanksgiving, Not sure when central TX gets their first freeze.
Hello Fishman, I am up near Gainesville.
Hawkeye, good to hear back is improved, hope your cold is soon gone.
Happy birthday to your wife Thomas, hop dinner went well.
prayers for all.

BEF, please stay off of those ladders....I'm out of fingernails to chew off since the Astros demise.....I can't be worrying about you on ladders. :)

Hadn’t thought about ladders till you mentioned it.that could be a project tomorrow.

My PT instructor has me walking without a cane some. I’m getting a lot better.

Productive day. About 95% worked out plan on battery replacement, will go over details Monday aiming for install later in week.

I did get new exhaust on the diesel generator, works good. Just need to rework the wire cage a bit. The one that keeps me from accidentally burning myself

Spent some time tonight drawing up plans for new battery brackets. Just can’t see spending over $1700 for ready made when it looks like I can make for less the $500. HD will see me again tomorrow .

33, probably dip to freezing before sunrise. Only gonna see 57 today.

I'm firing up the woodstove after I finish this mug of coffee.

Hope you're improving, Looking4.

Thomas, please tell your wife Happy Birthday from Virginia!

Jay, nice to read a little bit of Shakespeare here (yes, just a little bit :) ). That was an appropriate line. I think I would have enjoyed Shakespeare, but my high school English/Literature teachers made it punitive.

Our local YMCA is renovating the cardio/weights room, and the locker room, so I went to the next closest one again yesterday...glad I did because my arms are too sore to go today...we got our follow-up Shingrex and flu shots at Costco yesterday. Funny how such a tiny needle can leave such a lingering impression.

Good morning all. Rain on the way, though I don't mind as I have plenty of little jobs to catch up with inside.

Mostly, for the past 3 years we have heard lots of reasons why the world will almost come to an end for us if the UK leaves the European Union, yet the doom mongers haven't yet mentioned the catastrophic loss of French Onion soup :)

Won稚 be here when son gets his inheritance anyway

:D
There is always a bright side to everything !
The other good news is that with the weight of those dead salt water batteries, you will never be short of ballast for your tractor

anyone else ever own a Peugeot?

My wife's first car was a little Peugeot 105, white paintwork with bright green seat belts. It was great fun to drive with a very slick manual gearbox, however the engine would have been better suited to a ride on mower. When we visited her parents in it, we had to take a few extra miles detour to find a road with a gentler gradient as it was allergic to hills.

Some years later I had a Peugeot 306. Not a bad car for the money and hills were no problem at all, but it also had an allergy - to snowflakes. Despite having front wheel drive, it really didn't like being driven in snow. The over fat tyres would slip and slide as soon as the road turned white, or even dirty gray. I would have changed them, but a left knee problem caused me to sell the vehicle and discover the pleasure of automatic gearboxes, which has since become a lifetime addiction.
