So far I致e checked the mail twice and went to the bank, apparently I知 quite slow!

Da, I posted about Columbus Day then went out and mailed a letter. The flag is still up.

Thanks. There are two forces at work there against the weeds; 1) heavy landscaping paper under the rock keeps most of it in check, and 2) a work-from-home Wife who pulls the stuff that does get through the paper. That rock garden is all her doing. She had the landscaper move in the big rocks where she wanted them, and she did the rest.

Thanks. I had 6" cobble down on top of landscape cloth at the last house, but wasn't real good at keeping up with the leaf litter, and it quickly formed enough soil for weeds to take hold. Apparently using the leaf blower once every year isn't enough? After I hired a blow and go guy to come in every two weeks, the problem was solved...:confused2:

UPS came and picked up the exercise box that was still on my porch. Got my fire ring delivered by someone.

Kyle- Today I was able to self-regulate my profanity and let my wrench do the talking. I am challenged with 3 different styles of PTO connecting spline lock pins: a push pin and two different styles ring collars. I like none of them. I like them less as I grow older and more decrepit.

I mowed for about 2 hours before the tractor started to bog down/run roughly and run a little warmer due to all the debris build up on the hood grills (and probably the radiators). Tomorrow I plan to clean the radiators and air filters from the debris buildup and hopefully finish the field..... Then I start taking on the understory and hazard light grabbing limbs and branches.

It's nice getting seat time again..... Especially on a beautiful day.

I hope that everyone has had a manageable/decent day today.

J, you have to hold your tongue just right to get those stuck PTO pins freed.

Lets try this again. Server Error my foot!

Jay, you'd have better luck with AeroKroil or, I'm told, PB Blaster, instead of WD40 or Fluid Film, neither of which are particularly good at loosening rusty, especially threaded, parts. A hammer and a brass drift comes in handy for the push button types of locks as well. Oh, and fingers of steel. If there aren't any women or kids around, you can try some of your favorite :censored: words; it won't make any difference but you might feel better. I hope there's a special place in H311 for the idot that invented the push button PTO lock (I seem to do OK with the collard ones). He should be made to install and remove PTO shafts with rusty, dirty locks for all eternity, with no bathroom breaks.

Like the old saying goes...Just because you don't see them they see you first most of the time.
